I saw it at the Butler pre-game shoot around in 2019. The assistants ran the practice, Pitino spent most of his time talking to a reporter.

Pitino manages the media and PR much better than the game.

He’ll be a journeyman pro. Overseas, G league, maybe 3rd string PG in nba. Lacks court vision, defense and has limited finishing skills going left. Shot is good, but flat.

I’ll miss: 1) Throwing a baseline inbounds pass 40 feet into the backcourt because you don’t know an inbounds play 2) His complaints to the refs 3) Not having an offense except a high pick and roll 4) Watching players regress 5) No chance at in state recruits Likable guy, but not a fan of...

He spends his in game energy on the refs, not his players or making adjustments. That’s annoying.

It really helps your coaching if you’ve actually played at reasonable level (high school minimally, college preferred, professional a plus). You can tell pitino has a limited understanding due to limited playing experience. I want a coach that has actually played. Is that so hard to find?

Fire that clown

There is enough talent on this team, that’s proven. If we had coaching we would be more consistent.

Freeman needs more minutes and Johnson is energy and heart. He’s impressive.

Gach can’t play physical big ten ball. He’s an open court player that with good finishing skills. No defense, sketchy at long range.

And how is your inbound ‘play’ a 20-30 foot backwards lob? No picks, no movement towards the basket. Just a mystery to me.

Carr dribbling into a double team is growing old. This hasn’t been fixed over a 4 or 5 game stretch. That’s on the coaches and we’re losing games because of it.

What’s it gonna take for carr and the coaches to understand that dribbling right every time into a double team doesn’t work? This started 4 or 5 games ago, it should have been addressed by now.
