2023 NCAA Championship Tournament - Minnesota Gophers Hockey

The first two periods certainly didn't paint as rosy of a picture as the final score.

    Fargo = Gopher Hockey Town

Any chance more tickets become available tomorrow/Saturday morning? Haven’t had any luck so far.

    B1G Championship Game 2023

Right, would have been offsides if the Michigan player had control. He was just tagging up. Would agree on the second point if it was Portillo’s first time doing it during the game. That was his fourth. Of course they warn him after the fourth time and not earlier.

Gophers: What does the 2023 running back room look like without Mo Ibrahim?

Call me a heroin addict because I’m absolutely itching to see Darius Taylor in the fall.

    Read it and weep, Bucky!

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

According to 247sports Matt Simon is not listed as the primary, secondary, or tertiary recruiter for either of the Kaliakmanis brothers. This feels like all speculation, which in turn one could speculate Simon may not want to be a coordinator. We’ve seen him be fine with being passed over before.

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

I’m not a businessman. I just know the contract was fully guaranteed. Is that no longer the case if he leaves on his own? Rutgers just pays the 300k buyout or what not? If the 300k raise was primarily to earn him more money elsewhere, then that makes sense.

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

The only reason I thought that assessment was off is because Ciarrocca just received a 3 year extension in like, mid-December? I understand he hadn’t yet received the Rutgers offer. But why offer, and then accept, a 3-year extension of all things knowing it’s short term?

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

This is telling me even more so that I wish Kenni Burns was still with the program. On to Kenn State and he’s still liking tweets to show love for Matt Simon.

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

We lost Harasymiak, Patterson and Wilt last year (I guess you could count Sanford as a fourth). We did just fine this year without them.

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

Rossi only became the LB coach once he was assigned as the Defensive Coordinator. He was the D-line coach until then. The link you posted looks like the staff at the end of the 2018 season, seeing as Panagos didn't start here until January 2019

Jordan Lynch Tyree Jackson Jalon Daniels Is not a bad pedigree. You could include Mitch Leidner in that list if you really wanted to.

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

That's a good point, clearly how the Mike Sanford incident came about. Presumably narrows down the candidate pool, too. Not always a good thing.

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

Right, there's no way Fleck re-hired Ciarrocca expecting him to be gone this soon. He got an extension through 2025 this December.

Wow: Kirk Ciarrocca Takes OC Job at Rutgers

Matt Simon seems like the obvious choice. If I can fall down the rabbit hole and suggest an external candidate, Kansas OC Andy Kotelnicki comes to mind. Probably hard to poach him for the same position here, but with what we've seen these last few days, I guess anything is possible. From...

Winston DeLattiboudere — New D-Line Coach?

Would be great if this comes to fruition. Winston was such a great leader for this team, would love to have him back here.

Expectations vs Reality: My humble opinion on the state of the program and its future based on my own experiences with Gopher Football

Illinois has never won the BIG West. They were tied with us for 2nd this year -- their highest placement since the inception of divisions. Nebraska, Illinois, Minnesota are the three teams yet to win the West.

Brevyn Spann-Ford will not be participating on Senior Day

Opting to not participate in senior day gave me this, apparently false, perception that his return was a done deal. Doesn’t seem to be the case, but sure hope he returns.

Nebraska reducing seats, cutting season ticket price

He was referring to the Gophers. We play Michigan in game #6.
