***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT RUTGERS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Highly doubt it will play out this way, but would we make the tourney by holding serve at home except for MSU and then picking up two road wins - at NW and Nebr.? 11-9 record.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT RUTGERS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

No shame losing today. Rutgers has taken down other good teams as well at home. Need to pick up a couple road wins along the way somewhere, hopefully OSU.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT RUTGERS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

We aren't the first good team to lose at Rutgers. Physical teams maybe not a good matchup for us.

Guard Yeboah at the 3 pt line (39%). Other shooters are not good.

Strong defense, balanced scoring, and a sold out RAC. Not your daddy's Scarlet Knights.

Sporting News' 2019-20 college basketball midseason All-America team (Third-team All-Americans: Daniel Oturu, MN)

    Big 10: 1st rebounding, 2nd scoring, 2nd blocks, 1st shooting%. Maybe also big 10 POY.

Marcus Fuller's Big Ten basketball power rankings (#7. Minnesota)

#7 in the league would put us in the dance. Lunardi has us in as well with his new bracketology. 12 big ten teams, big east next with six teams.

    Pitino

ec Thanks for adding this context. So that would be 14%. On average then, we should expect 1.5 out of 10 local recruits to stay home according to this data. I know other posters have spoken to this as a national thing, but good to have the data. Would also be interesting to see how much the...

***OFFICIAL PENN STATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Just got around to watching the game, too stressful to watch some of these games live. Marcus Carr's stamina, composure, skills are really impressive. Defense pressures him 90 feet the whole game - yawn. I loved Nate Mason, but I think Carr is better. Announcer just said Oturu has no weakness...

    Pitino

Have no problem with Pitino's subbing patterns. Wish we could have brought in a few players who were more big ten ready to contribute right away.

Some ESPN + Love for Oturu.

Big question coming into this season was certainly if Oturu could stay on the floor. Question answered.

    Pitino

Been reading some of the PSU fan responses after last night. Brutal toward Chambers. Depth is a concern for us but that takes nothing away from how the team has been brought along again this season. Super job.

    Demir

Surprising to me. Thought rebounding would be an issue this season, apparently not.

    Demir

Demir's been great. Not great on the boards, but our team rebounding hasnt been the liability I thought it would be. Thought I heard one of the announcers say we have only been out- rebounded in 3 games this season, but that doesn't seem right. May have mis-heard.

Would be ok with me if Provus - Hummel did all gopher games. Letting the game breathe is strong with them.

Another loss for the ungifted. Pitt does the deed this time. So unfair to Roy.

Suggs craps on Pitino in strib article

My bad. For some reason was thinking the Wasington-Harris class was after the class with our 3 sophomores. Pretty much negates my point.
