Hawkeyes have been so much better than I thought they would be after losing Gustafson, Stewart, and Davis to graduation. Bluder is a very underrated coach. Also, her player Doyle often flies under the radar. She's a "heart and soul" player who brings it every game.

Loved the effort from Masha. She plays hard. Hubbard does better in transition. She's not giving them much now. The effort is there, but she's not hitting shots. Brunson is a solid player.

Felt bad for the ladies. They outplayed and outrebounded Iowa for three quarters, only to end up on the short end of the score. If the ladies can be that competitive in most of their remaining games, they'll have done a great job. But many more losses to come, I think.

To her credit, she did implement a zone defense to start the second half and that was effective But they got away from that as soon as Bell hit a couple threes. Would have liked them to use that zone more often. (Have no problem with them changing defenses often against a young team like OSU.)
