i don’t think any of our hitters fall in love with tipping the ball over the net. bad passing and/or bad setting = no choice. the passers are leaving shaffmaster out to dry a lot tonight. and her timing is also bad a lot tonight.

not saying you’re wrong, as i liked what i saw of her bat last year in limited work, and i pretty much think they should run out everyone and give them a chance at this point. but she did struggle to control the run game last year in limited innings. i would guess that's the hang up.

tough to get much more cupcakey than maryland. if you combine their past 2 seasons (19 & 20) they’re 32-42 with a team ERA of about 5.50. last we played them, in 2019, we scored 30 runs in the 3 game series.

i believe that she is in uniform, just wearing a zip-up over it. i've seen her in warm-ups. those not in uniform, like CC on sat, sit on the bench or in the stands. just based on what i've noticed.
