    After 25 years… I’m out

Rock of Ages was probably my favorite, followed by Foolin'. Photograph at 4 or 5 I would agree.

    The Band Pit

Did anyone warn USC about inviting Wisconsin or do we just let them figure it out the hard way??

We know the importance of keeping that chili hot, too!

    The Band Pit

It was their travel band. About 80. They divide into 1/4's and rotate each week for away games. Full band is roughly the same size as ours.

    The Band Pit

They were pre-game for national anthem and their director did the directing. It is about all you really can do given every halftime show is unique and memorized. Pre-game is a set number. That is why there are only about 250 of the 320+ that do pre-game. The formations require precise numbers.

    The Band Pit

Habitat For Humanity project with Gopherholers supplying the labor. I'd sign up!

    After 25 years… I’m out

First album I ever bought - Pyromania. Something about picking that out at Musicland and taking off the cellophane wrapper brings back awesome memories.

    The Band Pit

Yup, they never consulted the band during the design phase and assumed 300 normal spectators. Band is much larger AND has instruments. Damn architects. :) The school could save 11% on additional flag poles.

    Patience, grasshopper..... :)

    That crowd really surprised me!

My kid is in the U band. I asked them about it and they just shrugged their shoulders and said, "We really couldn't hear them and really didn't care." The W erases all kinds of issues. Have to admit their uni's were pretty cool. When they play Michigan State, both bands should be in full...

Had the EXACT same thought...... Locks in on one receiver. Hmmm, I've seen this before.

Jah Joyner was held on that last play

Plus it was hands to the face. It was happening all game.

Jah Joyner was held on that last play

Around the 9 or 10 minute mark, Joyner was held on two consecutive plays. On the second one, it was more egregious than the first, and he looked right at the referee and threw his hands up. The very next play, clearly PO'd and steam coming out of his ears, he blew by the tackle and hit the QB as...

    Brosmer

It was OK at times. There is still a tendency to over-pursue and get themselves out of position. Baranowski was also out. There is much to learn and improve upon, but so much better after a win!

POST GAME THREAD: GOPHERS BEAT USC!!!

Some of the jukes he put on USC defenders - they are still trying to find their jock straps. Tremendous vision.

    How's Koi doing?

When I saw Gousby and Walley in uniform pre-game, my spirits were bolstered. Throw Perich in there, our DB situation is looking real good. The interception was highlight reel no doubt, but his run support is really f'ing good. Young man has a nose for the ball. Reminds me of Harrison Smith, but...

    "Simulating brandishing a weapon" penalty

It reminded me of McCringleberry's TD celebration. Turned into a shooting gallery, clearly exceeding the 2 pump limit.

Wow these pics of Koi are amazing, great work GopherHole

Did he play basketball at Esko? Just asking. If he ain't too busy this winter, maybe he wants to walk across the street to Williams.......

    Brosmer

Young man doesn't seem to get rattled. He doesn't try to hero ball it. Glad he is at the helm. Solid QB.
