Nebraska is 14/1 to win Big Ten - Really!!! Not this again.

I think someone could make a good argument for putting money on UM + PSU with these odds.

Nebraska is 14/1 to win Big Ten - Really!!! Not this again.

Know you guys hate the advanced stats, but even those have Minnesota as the second best team in the B1G West. No reason the Gophers can't win division this year. Just like there was no reason last year. If PJ sticks around then it's going to happen eventually.

    Spring Practice

lol, of the three, tanner was the closest to hitting his deep ball.

    T Johnson

Yes. Tyler Johnson had a post on IG last year in which he said, "I'm a god." He's a headcase.

    T Johnson

Jefferson should have set the rookie receiving record last year. Theilen was still a top-tier threat. The depth behind those two was solid. Johnson wouldn't be a good addition to the Vikings roster and I'm sure he would be a massive distraction given his, "I'm a God in Minneapolis" Instagram...

5 candidates to become the face of the Minnesota Golden Gophers in 2022 (Ibrahim, Morgan, CAB, Sori-Marin, Nubin)

It has been awesome to watch how much MSM and Nubin have improved. Both of them started their careers as liabilities. Defense is being coached well. I would throw Bucky and Wright on this list as dark horses. Wright looks like a capital-A athlete and Bucky may be one of the B1G's leading...

    Anthony Brown decommits

Minnesota could throw the ball 100 times per game and would still lose recruits to tOSU. It's a process.

    Mark Coyle contract extension.

How many guys do you know with his rolodex? Ridiculous comment. Of course anyone in this forum would take that job in a heartbeat. None of us would run a successful athletics department.

Mo Ibrahim a Heisman Sleeper according to RJ Young

I had a similar level of optimism around Mo's ability to return but Cam Akers has been playing well in the post-season after a similar injury. Sounds like it's an easy surgery to mess up, but at least now there's a NFL comp he can look to. Apparently surgeons compare Achilles surgery to sewing...

Iowa AD says floating scrapping divisions

Would lock down DC, Raliegh, and Charlotte. Might even open up Atlanta. Think going north is less attractive and requires adding two private schools in Syracuse and BC. I also think PSU already does a good enough job of carrying Boston.

Iowa AD says floating scrapping divisions

UNC and Virginia. This is why the B1G added Rutgers and Maryland. It's amazing how quickly everyone forgot that.

Iowa AD says floating scrapping divisions

If they're going to scrap divisions then I would prefer if Minnesota had a locked game with Michigan.

    T Johnson

That would be a great sign except that Tyler Johnson was the #2 WR on that roster for the last month of the season. He wasn't the "third option" on that offense. He was supposed to be their possession receiver.

    T Johnson

PFF has him 117 out of 125 graded wide receivers. He'll be lucky to make a practice squad after next season. If Godwin moves on then they will find another option to replace him because Johnson failed his tryout.
  15. H

    T Johnson

He was already a starter. He's not 'starting' for the first time next year. He was Brady's WR2 as soon as Godwin went down. I would be shocked if they don't find another option in the slot next year and let Johnson's contract run out after that.
  16. H

    T Johnson

He wasn't "trust into the role" (sic). He was the only slot receiver behind Godwin. He played over 50% of the snaps in nine games this year. He was in to block on many plays and in others he was the third or fourth option. He was awful in that role. Missed blocks, dropped passes, lazy route...

    T Johnson

Johnson played 612 snaps this year. That's more than any receiver on the Bucs roster not named Evans or Godwin. He played more snaps than Brown, Perriman, and Miller, combined. He was also the only receiver with more than 100 snaps that didn't score a touchdown. He was hot garbage.
  18. H

    T Johnson

He has received more of an opportunity through two years than he had any right to hope for after the Bucs drafted him. He's a poor blocker, he frequently lines up in the wrong place, he's not a good route runner, he drops a lot of passes, and he doesn't play on special teams (even Kupp was...

    T Johnson

Godwin is probably gone after this season and Brady may be as well which just might save him. He doesn't have good enough hands to play in the slot and he's not fast enough to play outside. He also doesn't play on special teams. He needs to put in some serious work if he wants to stay in the...

Saw a report. Rossi to Oklahoma state???

I have a hard time believing that Minnesota couldn't match whatever salary Oklahoma State is offering. For example, Fleck makes 25% more than Gundy. Stillwater makes Minneapolis look like an urban oasis. The Big 10 is on a much better trajectory than the Big 12. Rossi coached one of the leading...
