And it's a blown oppurtunity as you prove you are a tournament team mainly by beating other tournmanet teams and doing more non-conference gives you more margin-of-error for conference play in case of struggling to beat any of the top Big Ten teams again.

That's not being fair to the Big Sky. A couple teams may have played nobody but Montana State played Ohio State, Utah, and FGCU; Northern Arizona played UNLV, Grand Canyon, Arizona and James Madison; Montana played, besides the Gophers, Michigan State, Washington, and South Dakota State; etc...

No. Charlie Creme was wrong and UNLV wasn't one of the committee's First Four Out but Colorado was. Autumn Johnson is one person who does bracketology who was on track with Colorado being a First Four Out team (though she was off with Saint Joseph's/had Richmond much lower than the committee).
