    Spring Game

Should be an interesting Fall camp this year as we saw a lot of new faces make an impression today, but we didn't even get to see some of the new talent, as there are still a number of players who didn't early enroll. Add this bunch to the mix and things get even more interesting:

Official 2027 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Rumors

As I was looking at the Summer Splash visit list for the last week in May and the first weekend June, I thought it was interesting we had two kids from Iowa City making the trip. It's interesting in that Tate Wallace (4-Star LB & #2 in the state) doesn't appear to have Iowa on his list on 247...

RandBall: As transfer portals close, Gophers basketball is thriving

I'm not betting on any of the kids we picked up in the portal, but I'm betting on the Coach and his track record of success. I'm betting the guy who watches tape and brings in guys for workouts is a better talent evaluator than anyone on this site.

RandBall: As transfer portals close, Gophers basketball is thriving

Who says Niko is done, as he has 2 spots open. If we've all forgotten, Niko picked up Tyson on June 1st last year. I'll trust Niko's talent assessment as you can't hold him responsible for injuries.

    Malick Kordel Commits

I thought I'd toss out the write-up that Mich's SBNATION site did for Kordel when he was first on campus last year for them. If he can live up to the comments that he's a great offensive rebounder and a menace defensively, then we may have really filled a need in the lineup...

Kyan Evans Commits to the Gophers!

I guess at this point I was looking at Shinholster as a question mark, as I haven't seen he's committed either way. If that was the case, then that leaves room for another guard and a veteran big man. But granted, he's likely in the boat at this point.

Kyan Evans Commits to the Gophers!

Solid pick-up as Niko knows exactly what he's getting with Evans. Now we just need to continue to build some more depth, as there's still plenty of talent out in the portal.

All Things 2026 Transfer Portal Thread

(Bear with my football comments before getting to the funding) Actually, I don't think Indiana did us any favors, because I don't know if most alumni who have the money take the time to really look at the details of what it took for Indiana football to pull off what it did. If you just look at...

All Things 2026 Transfer Portal Thread

These are the type of guys we need to sign, as they will start to set the market as their compensation amounts leak out. If we get a few more guys in the top 30 signed, we'll just start to slot guys in based on the going rates. Not that much different than when the top draft picks start to sign...

    Mikkelsen Commits

The only So Dak miss by Minn that I lament was when Iowa got Chad Greenway. Greenway was a monster for Iowa from 2003 - 05. When these conversations come up, I think of 03 when Mase had Maroney, Barber, and Tapeh. We lost to Michigan by 3 that year after we rushed for 424 yds, which I...

    Transfer Portal 2026

So, are we saying that Liv is uncoachable? I seem to remember a certain MN guard who had 135 TOV in her first year with Coach P and in her final season, she had 72. On a side note, Liv averages 24.1 pts per 40 min played and had 80 steals this past season, so she does play defense. For...

    Mikkelsen Commits

Don't be surprised if Mikkelsen ends up being more of a WR and essentially a slightly bigger version of Tyler Johnson. When Tyler was at Minn he was 6'2" and 205, while Mikkelsen comes in at 6'5" and 205. We all know how much damage Tyler did while in the slot going up against less athletic LBs...

All Things 2026 Transfer Portal Thread

It feels like everyone is kind of waiting for 10-15 top tier players to sign to set the market and then you start slotting players based on those numbers.

All Things 2026 Transfer Portal Thread

Yeah, it's hard to gauge what the dynamic might have been between Kyle and Niko at CSU. However, it's not that some of his playing time wasn't impacted by injury. In that, he sustained a broken hand/thumb injury during his time with the team. This injury occurred during his freshman season...

All Things 2026 Transfer Portal Thread

That's what I thought as well as this kid seems to be flying under the radar. We could definitely use the size and he would really provide that rim defender in the paint to alter some shots. If he could just do a little of what Mara did for Mich it would be huge. Plus this kid can score a little.

I admit I haven't read every post in this string, but has there been any talk of Niko looking at Kyle Evans the former CSU player? Former CSU player Kyle Evans, who led nation in blocks, to enter portal as of 3/27. The 6-foot-10 Evans had 115 blocks this season, which led all of Division I...

    Transfer Portal 2026

All of a sudden Texas is getting pretty thin with two seniors graduating and only 2 recruits coming in at the forward position if I heard correctly, as starter Justice Carlton decides to enter NCAA's transfer portal. Justice Carlton enters transfer portal The local paper (Austin...
