Time to look ahead.......what is your plan?

So OKC and SA finished 15 and 13 wins ahead of us this year and both teams kicked out ass in the playoffs (when it matters) the last two seasons not because they are better but because OKC flops and Finch can’t coach? And Dilly is “at least 6’3” and Ant is a pg. Time for LASIK, stormy.

All you have to do is open your eyes and you can see the talent gap. We have Ant and then a drop off compared to those teams.

On 1/28/25 you said: "Here's Dillingham next to a 6'4" 225 lb Ant with Conley behind him last night. Yeah I'd say he's at least 6'3"175."

As long as we are playing POBO's. anybody want to hazard a guess what we would get for either Julius or Rudy? I really have no idea.

I dunno. I'm probably wrong on this but I think there will be less of a market than people think for soon to be 32 year old, injury plagued Giannis, who was a pain in the ass behind the scenes if Myles Turner was telling the truth. Certainly way more than Julius but not as much as I would have...

I guess Weather knows more about the value of draft picks than Presti. For the record, the wolves have two 1sts and 3 2nds between now and 2032. Scary.

Another reason they might trade him is they have Jaren Jackson Jr.

That is correct. If they were paying Kessler $2M instead of the $40M they were paying Rudy moving KAT for financial reasons would not have been in play.

I didn't overrate (or oversize) Dilly.

Kessler started all 58 games that he played in 24-25. He missed almost all of last season due to injury. I went into nerd mode and compared their numbers per 36 minutes and they are nearly identical. Rudy (obviously bigger sample size) averages a point higher and half a rebound higher per 36...

I think we can say with sufficient certainty that the league thinks there are other candidates likely to be more successful than Cassell if Finch gets the boot.

I know I'm the outlier on this board but Walker Kessler's numbers have been comparable to Rudy's over the last three years. At Kessler's approx $2M/year it means the wolves could have kept KAT, kept the four #1's, no pick swaps and gained lots of roster flexibility. Rudy has given them a...

Maybe they do hate each other. The evidence provided by the people who report on this stuff seems to indicate otherwise. If the public persona is just a persona, Finch will be gone shortly after the abysmal showing against SA. We'll see. Glad your move to NYC worked out. Agree that risks...

As of today, he's happy here. If you try and fail, he'll want out (ATL most likely) and that will set the franchise back years. I don't think you mess with a positive coach/superstar relationship. You try to fix the other stuff first. If that relationship breaks down then the coach goes.

I don't think it works that way. Ant is 24 years old, he probably makes $100M/year in hoops and endorsement income. He's supremely talented, a top 5-7 player. He's beloved in the locker room. Put it all together and, at this point in his life, he knows everything. It's pretty remarkable that...

Seven confirmed interviews. Easy to look up. Obviously hasn't distinguished himself enough as an assistant coach to be a "hot commodity," whatever that means. Retreads (like Rivers) and first timers (like Finchy) are getting gigs over him. Connelly needs to go before Finch. The future...

Thoughts on Ant dapping up the Spurs squad with 8 minutes to go? Like the move? Hate it?

Way, way down at the bottom of the wolves list of things I care about.

Not sure I get the fascination with Cassell. A career assistant who played in the league 20 years ago and who's been passed over for HC jobs a million times.

Time to look ahead.......what is your plan?

Miller is now a rotation player and, given the cyclical nature of the NBA and Connelly's handouts, the 2031 and 2032 2nd's will likely be early seconds. Additionally, as of today, the wolves have no picks in 2031 in exchange for Dilly and maybe 2026 Ayo.
