Name Change: Cactus Bowl replacing Rate Bowl

Memory and electricity are now the major bottlenecks for increasing AI (datacenter) output/capacity, at the moment. That and dumbass people opposing datacenters being built. We should have nuclear power plants dotting this country, as the premier emission-free green energy source of the world.

Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby is checking into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction.

He still has his lawsuit, but it's a moot point if he chooses to enter the NFL supplemental draft. Will be a big gamble if he thinks he can beat them in court and still play for Tech this year.

Wisconsin - a name, image and likeness bill was signed into law by Gov. Tony Evers that will send $15 million annually to the athletic department

This is not NIL. (To me, that acronym is for specifically third-party NIL deals.) This is the House Settlement saying each school can directly provide $20.5M to student-athletes from the athletic department ... and then schools like Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc. are struggling to suddenly come up...

For people trying to travel down and back in one day, also gives them a better shot at getting on a flight home. That would be a lonnnng day, the day after Xmas, on a Saturday to boot.

The promoters were trying to get people (spending money) downtown, is clearly what the play for having it at Chase was. Agree with what you say though, this is a good move to bring it back to a campus and a real football stadium.

Senators Unveil Details of 'Protect College Sports' Act

Major policy proposals 1. Federal NIL framework The bill would replace the current patchwork of state NIL laws with a single national standard. Key provisions include: Explicitly protecting athletes' rights to earn money from their name, image, and likeness. Requiring disclosure of NIL deals...

They did not say that, as you've falsely written here. They only said that he has (overall) donated $500k to Cruz. Campbell and his business are based in Texas, where Cruz is a senator. Duh, of course he has donated to his representative senator ... for all kinds of things. Which part is...

Bruce Feldman's Over/Under Wins Draft: Gophers picked second with 5 1/2

Does "Big Ten win totals" in the OP Tweet mean "the win totals of Big Ten teams" or mean "the Big Ten win totals of Big Ten teams"? Winning 5.5 out 9 conference games would not seem like an obvious lock. So much so that I have to think it was just overall wins. I don't think we'll easily be...

Coyle on finding a big fish donor: We’re still in the boat trying to find that big fish. We still have a hook in the water.

^ Coyle is not actually doing anything. "Leaving a hook in the water" is like saying "yeah sure, we'd love to have one if one magically fell out of the sky into our laps". There's not really anything to do. People who donate that much money to a college athletics team ... do so for entirely...

As far as Flores lawsuit goes, the fact that SCTOUS ruled that the case may proceed in court and therefore discovery can become public knowledge all but guarantees that this will get settled, and probably sooner than later, with Flores getting much of what he wants.

On Bumper to bumper Friday during the Goessling segment, I heard that Rob B will report to new GM Teasley. This just further confirms to me that not hiring the new GM until after the draft was a purposeful play by the Wilfs to allow the new GM to wash his hands of the 2026 season if need be...

Bold doesn't make sense to me. We may have to agree to disagree. I do think that the Vikings would evaluate several candidates, certainly. And Flores would be one, if he wants it. - one of the top DC in the league - has HC experience - has the full support of and a good relationship with the...

Definitely not apples to apples and like NYC laid out he may never have agreed to come here if we wanted two year deal off the bat. If he has a tremendous year here ... I would have to hope he would want to at least have staying here as a top option in his considerations. But of course that...

Senators Unveil Details of 'Protect College Sports' Act

Dellenger gave it a 30% chance of passing on the podcast. I assume that was just in the Senate. But the House is the lower for a reason. Perhaps if it actually passes the Senate, then the House will fall in line.

Kids hopping around to different schools -- let's be honest, to different teams -- each and every year makes a s--tty product. That's not what fans want. They want some continuity of players. And then there's the argument that transferring is bad for your academics, and makes academics harder...
