Larivee is one of the best in the business. I'm no Packer fan either, but he's a total pro. PA is an untrained hack who fell into the job because he worked for the station and would work cheap. He's also a terrible person who hangs out with terrible people.

It's a niche sport, and if the money is the same or close, it's a lot less stress to coach somewhere like Augustana (or WMU or any number of places) than it is at Minnesota, with a bunch of entitled boosters trying to tell you what to do.

1. St. Cloud isn't rural. It's a city of nearly 70k people. 2. I don't avoid white people, or black people, or purple people. I do try to avoid inbred redneck racist trash, and St. Cloud is full of those types.

Is Cedar-Riverside full of inbred white trash with Stearns County syndrome like St. Cloud is? Because that's why I avoid St. Cloud like the plague.

Mankato is a better fit in the NCHC than St. Cloud at this point. Better program, better and larger school that's growing, nicer city.

I think you might be surprised who might compete. Some of those tiny NE liberal arts schools have a LOT of money and if they want to fund hockey in a big way, there are very wealthy alumni that can do so as opposed to large land grant schools that have to fund football teams.

I don't think there's enough NIL in the world for me to want to live in St. Cloud. And like you, I'm a Moorhead State grad so that's saying something.
