    Remaining Visits

Not concerning at all. The Gophers already have 27 commits for 2027. This is the most by any of the top 96 schools. Most schools are in the single digits for commits at this point. Fleck can now be more selective with his remaining spots.

    This will get you going!

Yeah, those four had more success at the NFL level than the Gophers I mentioned. Damn, that is a legit backfield!!!!

    This will get you going!

How about that 2003 Gophers backfield with Barber, Maroney, Terry Jackson and Thomas Tapeh. All of them rushed for at least 1000 yards at least once as a Gopher except Tapeh who finished at 906 in 2002. Jackson had 1317 in 2002. Has there ever been a better foursome at RB on the same team?!

GPL: Minnesota Athletics Reports Record $163.6M in Revenue for FY25

I honestly did not know the all the Big 10 teams share in the significant revenue generated by those teams advancing in the playoffs. From the article: "The other significant item in the Minnesota budget to increase was $11.6M in revenue sharing from the College Football Playoff. Conferences...

DL Xion Chapman commits to the Gophers

IMO this is a very solid pickup and possibly their best so far. Highly rated by those that have seen his film and evaluations (line play is the hardest for casual fans to evaluate). I would bet that he saw our edge rushers, which are going to need to be accounted for by opposing coaches, as...
  6. Five for fighting

Gophers are expected to hire Stanford defensive coordinator Bobby April as its new rush ends coach.

How much of this impacted the decision on Smith to stay one more year. April will only help Smith get that much better and improve his Draft day stock in 2027. I am sure that was part of the pitch, along with a sweet NIL deal, to keep Smith supplemented by the fact that he really seems to...

What grade would you give the Gophers 2025 season?

Beating Wisconsin alone is worth a C grade. Winning 8 games along with a minor bowl game gets you to a B factoring that this wasn't the most talented Fleck team and we were running with Freshman QB. The losses to beatable Northwestern and Cal along with the terrible showing against Iowa...

POST GAME THREAD!! Gophers Win Rate Bowl!’

Anthony Smith was simply dominating. Gonna be an absolute joy to watch him next year. Along with Menz and some of the incoming recruits, that defensive line will be effing nasty. Fleck is getting better at some of his game day decisions. Most notably was not going for the long FG attempt and...

Indiana v Penn State, and Gus Johnson's voice!!

He's not a color guy. He's the lead announcer. Dick Vitale would make hyperbolic statements every game and was awesome for it. Quit the hate. Life is short.

Indiana v Penn State, and Gus Johnson's voice!!

I don't get the hater's here and on social media. I mean, if this bothered you so much to publicly post about it negatively, I want your life. It was a fun call for a tremendous ending to a great game. The last few minutes of the game had SEVERAL great plays which led to Gus's reaction on...

YES YES YES!!! Post Game Thread: Gophers Get Big Win Over Rutgers!

So fun to have an NFL draft pick caliber QB. Good on the coaching staff adjusting at half time and going quick tempo. Let's see this the rest of the year. We miss Darius. NO question. He is going to make Lindsey that much better when he comes back. I still cannot get over how bad at clock...

***OFFICIAL RUTGERS AT MINNESOTA ATHAN’S DAD RETURN IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I absolutely cannot get over the beyond horrific clock management and play calling to end that half. Never mind the brutal missed calls by the refs. What an absolute trainwreck.

***OFFICIAL RUTGERS AT MINNESOTA ATHAN’S DAD RETURN IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I absolutely cannot get over how bad of a coach Fleck is on gameday. I just can't figure out how stupid the decisions he makes ALWAYS are.

***OFFICIAL RUTGERS AT MINNESOTA ATHAN’S DAD RETURN IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

What in the actual %$#@ was that 4th and inches call by the OC. That is beyond horrible. A delayed handoff. That could be one of the worst play calls I have EVER seen.

Who is your Gophers MVP in the Mayo Bowl win?

This. His two tackles coming all the way from Raleigh on those long plays were insane. Reminded me of DK Metcalf tracking down the DB after pursuing for 90 yards. Brown also had a huge pass breakup on a third down when the momentum looked to be shifting. Three major plays that impacted the...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Are Mayo Bowl Champs!!!! Finish 8-5!!!

Great finish to a fun season. What is it about Minnesota football teams and close games EVERY week. My nerves are shot. Don't know what I will do if the Vikes get in the SB. Anyhow some points from the Mayo bowl: Kerry Brown was a beast. Two tackles out of nowhere to save TD's on those...

Official 2025 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

I was wondering the same thing. I like this kid and think he has a high upside. Are there any other impact players that have not "announced" their DTA agreements?
