Never understood this sentiment. Playing for championships should be the goal of every P5 school each year. I wanna see how the program measures up against a Clemson or Bama.
Watching Iowa St/WVU and decided to look up Kalscheur's stats. The shooting regression is truly amazing. Thought it couldn't get worse than last season, but it has. 24% from 3, 34% overall for the season. 0-5 tonight.
Daniels basketball IQ is atrocious. No reason he needs to be doing anything with the ball outside of 3-5 feet from the hoop. Curry being back coupled with Thompson's emergence hopefully means less Daniels floor time which is a big plus at this point.
Corpus Christi worries me a bit. Pretty quick turnaround after a big victory against a 9-1 squad that should be one of the Southland favorites. Won't be a pushover by any means. Game comes right before a long break too. Hope there isn't a letdown.
Michigan will be fine. They'll regroup and continue to improve. Young team trying to mesh right now and they've played a pretty decent schedule up to this point. Still expect them to be in the upper half of the league.
College basketball has and always been a guard oriented game. 4 guys that score at all 3 levels at any point in time is much scarier than a team with size.
Curry got in shape. He looks much more chiseled than he did during any of the Pitino years.
No matter the result of this game, I hope the rampant pessimism on this board ceases. No more of the "I know we're gonna get killed in the Big Ten" or "we'll be lucky to win x number of games." Gophs will be tough out all season long.
