I stand corrected. I saw the safe call from the 3rd base ump when the runner initially went for the contact but from someone who would certainly know they did call interference.

They didn't even call it interference they said he just got back to the base with no tag. The attrocious part is that has to be called out of the baseline. These are the same guys who missed the bunt tipping off the batter as well though that led to a 3 run inning. Would have liked to see...

A few too many walks but really nice job limiting the Michigan bats to 4 hits. Barr has been really good but thought the lineup did a nice job laying off the borderline pitches and not chasing a whole lot.

Tough 4-3 loss today. Had a chance in the 9th opted to have Spanier bunt tying run to 3rd but a shallow flyball from Hamilton and foul popup from Neels left Mosh at 3rd. Big doubleheader sweep! Definitely not the cleanest day and certainly some missed opportunities with runners in scoring position especially in game one.

A sweep either way in that Illinois/Iowa series would be helpful. Illinois closes with Northwestern and Indiana while Iowa goes Nebraska and Purdue so a sweep from Illinois would probably be more helpful, plus Iowa losing is fun.

Played pretty well again but just come up short, UCLA really made a few key defensive plays.

Definitely thought he got squeezed there a little, the leadoff hit by pitch was just a killer. Had a couple chances to come through with another one of those two out RBI hits like Sutherland did to get the lead but couldn't find another.
