Gophers will open at home on Monday, November 4 per Dawn at the Fair. Still can't announce who.....but she hopes schedule can be released soon. She also noted it would be a military appreciation night at that November 4 game.

Augsburg coach Ted Riverso has retired after nine years at the school. Riverso was a Gopher assistant under Pam Borton and also spent 1984-1999 at St Thomas. He won a school record 128 games at Augsburg. Mallie Doucette will be the new coach at Augsburg. Enjoy your retirement, Ted!

The post player added is post player 6' 3" Jordan Brooks (CSU Bakersfield). Brooks will provide depth in the post. She went to Bakersfield after two seasons of junior college basketball. Her 2023-24 season was also affected by injury, limiting her to 16 games, during which she averaged 8.0 minutes.

Based on the Troy University ads running during breaks, it seemed to me it was a "local" broadcast, so of course the announcer would be a "homer". Turn down the sound and listen to the radio play by play. I was just happy to be able to see the game.

Looks like 96.7 FM has a Saints game on tonight. 102.5 is also what shows in the game notes - it would also be on iHeart app as 102.5 is another iHeart station.

ESPN+ is $10.99 a month. Sign up for the game and then cancel before end of first month. Basically the cost of parking for one game at the Barn.

Might be a third rate tourney, but there are 10 Division One women's teams still playing and the Gophers are one of them. Three Big Ten teams still alive - Gophers (WNIT), Iowa (NCAA) and Illinois (WBIT).

And, on the post game show on the radio, Amaya said they flew commercial to tonight's game. And, Dawn said they go to Denver tonight, and then fly to Atlanta tomorrow to head for Troy, AL for our next game - the FAB 4. Would guess that is a Wednesday game. Maybe the WNIT doesn't allow charters?
