Seems 50/50 that Moore declares for the draft or not, so less than 50/50? Until last weekend, I was going with the notion that Moore was a better prospect than Mendoza.

Going to Oregon will be either a great or a terrible decision for Perich due to heavy competition. They are loaded at safety even if their 3rd-year All American declares for the draft. Good luck.

The avg age of the Indiana Hoosiers team is 23 years old.... For perspective the Green Bay Packers avg age this season is 25 years old.

I went to PFF and calculated the average first season of stats for each team (cuz I'm a nerd sometimes), 11/11 regular players and not kickers. Indiana averaged a first year of 2022.2 and Miami at 2022.1, so Miami would be about a month older in my calcs. Both would average just under 23 y/o...

ESPN: College football buzz: What we're hearing about playoff expansion

I like the top 5 conference champs getting an auto bid. If the ACC can't get its act together enough for its champ to not be in that top 5 than tough cookies. If the tournament goes to a nice even 16, even better. Also, I like @PMWinSTP's post above about rotating the top NYD bowls to be...

    Curt Cignetti

Sounds crackpot and like a bad excuse, which it probably is, but I tend to assume that stuff is happening at some level with the dollars at play.

All Things 2025/26 College Football Transfer Portal Thread

St. John’s had a tackle drafted a few years ago by Jacksonville that’s currently a San Fran backup (Ben Bartch). I’d take that kind of portal player in a heartbeat.

So, once Perich signs elsewhere, I’d love to see an estimate of what the Gophs were able to do with the freed up $$$…since it’s too early to do taxes.

DL Xion Chapman commits to the Gophers

Yes, no one talks about the downside of the portal for players. I suppose teams that use it effectively need to be a bit ruthless in culling the herd.

DL Xion Chapman commits to the Gophers

Agreed on the bolded. I’d add protecting LBs also. It seemed to me when other teams had success running the LBs were often fending off O lineman way too much.

    Indiana a Team of Destiny?

I’m even more jealous thinking about shoulda woulda coulda for the 2020 Gophers.

Yes, I’m jealous and envious. Absolutely.

No doubt. Melt down. The O Coordinator hasn’t helped much either.

Indiana can’t stop Oregon’s run without extra in the box or sending numbers. Ducks just need to read it correctly. It won’t matter if the Hoosiers keep scoring.

Wow. The Ole Miss RB has some hops. I'm not used to seeing a college RB outrun the DBs.

Division III Indiana-Like Turnaround: River Falls

It's highly unlikely a non-D1 player gets that award, but it would be really really hard to top how much Blaha contributed to UWRF's success. He ruled. Granted, I only saw Chambliss in that one last game and he was amazing.

If he's so good, why didn't he play good?

He also wouldn't have warranted anywhere near the guestimated seven-figure compensation as a safety and might not in another market - although it appears TTU has a bottomless pool of $$.

I'm at the WGAF stage. Flakes will flake, even talented flakes. Time to move on with those I can root for.
