    Gopher softball 2023

In my opinion since Allister left the offense has fallen off. In 2017 they hit 1 to 9 and often with power. The recent teams have not been able to run rule anyone. Recent losses have been due to lack or runs. Oklahoma won the world series by scoring runs

I would add Leschber to the four and say five. Leschber is hitting .500 and has walked four times. Bradley, Den Hartog, Krapf, Oakland and Leschber

    Bally's Bankruptcy

There was an article in the Pioneer Press stating that the Twins expect their games to be available this year. Dave St Peter was quoted and there also was a strange comment that the games would not be on the Bally streaming app. Overall the bankruptcy would be good to force the issue and...

    New Volleyball Coaching Staff

Remember Stanford won the title with only one loss that season. Was the Gophers best shot but not a certainty. Four losses that year were to Stanford, Oregon (twice) and Penn State. Oregon was hard to figure out but sometimes may just be a bad matchup

    Gopher Volleyball 2023 Season

Liked the comment from Minatee that she can do anything. Confidence is great. She is a little short at 6'1" for a typical MB but showed great effort. Schnichles also looked like she can play

Wishing the best for Jenna. It is a new world with NIL and the portal. Have no knowledge but suspect she might be destined to Texas

    Gopher Volleyball 2022 Season

Not a big surprise, a new coach brings in his own coaches. Wishing the best to the Houk's and expect they will find their next jobs soon. Maybe a head coach. In football think of Luke Fickell and Jim Leonard at Wisconsin

Comments from Coyle emphasize Cook's holistic approach to coaching. This may have been a factor since it was Hugh's approach

What grade would you give Hugh McCutcheon in his coaching career at Minnesota?

Disappointing they have not won a national title but they have been a top ten team. Need a leader (player) and the right combination/scheme to reach the next level. Hugh has been great and deserves respect. The problem is we look at Nebraska, Penn State and pardon the language Wisconsin and...

MP: Pat Borzi: How Can U Volleyball Turn a Profit?

All the responses have been focused on the Pav vs Williams. Minnesota is still in the top four in attendance (Nebraska, Wisconsin, Hawaii, Minnesota). Perhaps the course is too live with the 5000-5300 limit of the Pav and rather look to other sources of income such as sponsors, radio, tv, and other

    Gopher Volleyball 2022 Season

Watching today's game and later the Penn State-wisconsin game I have a couple comments and questions. 1. Wisconsin plays as a team 2. Minnesota is a bunch of individuals. Probably better than Wisc. but do not play together Questions 1. Who is the leader of the Gophers? 2. Who gets the Gophers...

Hugh McCutcheon to start in a new Assistant AD / Sport Development Coach role Jan. 2023.

I wonder if the delay was waiting to get administration or maybe Regents approval to create a new position. The original annoucement never said he was leaving the University employment.
