I’ll concede that he made some good saves but the goals he gave up were backbreakers.

Every team is dealing with some level of injuries yes but asking to beat an already superior team without two of your best defensive players is a tall task. I might get crap for this but I’m actually impressed we’ve kept both game competitive, especially with terrible goaltending.

I’m not going to lose my mind because I don’t expect to win this series but it’s disappointing that both games were there for the taking but our goaltending let us down in both, despite being the one area we should have the edge.

If there was one area I expected to have an edge this series it was in net. 1.2 games in that is definitely not the case.

That 2024 group still won in the first round and had a lead on BU before Close decided to give that game away.

Heck even a historically bad gopher team this year beat every single FF team at least once. In fact we went 4-3 against Denver/Wisc/UND.

Losing Harper of course sucks but the fact that we are in position to process a guy like that out when you look at how bad our D was last year is kind of amazing.
