All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

Watching the Indiana beat-down of Alabama, I found myself wondering what Indiana will be like over the course of the next 3-5 seasons. Cignetti was very impressive, no question about that. His team plays hard and with tremendous discipline. The reaction shot of Cignetti's intense stare when...

Who will be the 2026 Water Carrier of the Year

I'm a big water-carrier, so I'll weigh in on this... I hate to see Koi go. Most people here feel the same. He has been an electrifying player while wearing maroon and gold, and I'd be surprised if he doesn't become even better as a football player; his potential ceiling is very high. I don't...

Who will be the 2026 Water Carrier of the Year

We already know. There's no doubt. Whiners, bitchers and complainers are always gonna do what they do.

SEC Bias: This is a reminder that LSU these last 5 years is the same as Minnesota, just with a lot more AP votes and more FCS wins.

And yet you state that people do, in fact, want a statue. Weird. And yet, LSU (the 'powerhouse') and Minnesota ('mediocre') have remarkably similar records. I guess it 'just means more' in the overrated SEC. So — you don't want Fleck fired, but you think it's noble or admirable that LSU...

Even if all three of those things happen, you'll still bitch, whine and complain.

Thank you! It's a Gopher FAN board, not a Gopher denigration board. Go write a love letter to Reusse.

    — Fleck has actually won 31 games in the last 4 seasons. 9-4, 6-7, 8-5, 8-5. — Can you point me to the posts in which people say they want a statue of Fleck built? I don't recall any such posts. — Are you advocating that we should fire Fleck? I don't want to put words in your mouth, but you...

So Pat is feeling it's necessary to remind us that losing to Iowa by 41-3 is a bad result? I already knew that. Seems pretty obvious. The fact that I enjoy Gopher football and found good moments this season and even had fun being a fan does not mean that I lack standards. Sorry, Pat. Sorry, Ope3.

Apparently, the good old days were epitomized by an 8 win team in the very early 60s that went to a Rose Bowl. An 8-win team in 2025, however, is "lousy". You and I would know that — we wouldn't need Pat to tell us — if you and I had "standards", which Pat clearly has.

What was the whole "standards" thing about? How about "lousy" as a description for an 8-win season?
