These days the portal can fix WR room overnight. Next!

    Danny Collins

This is what happens when our AD refuses to pay our staff more. Our talented coaches leave and PJ is forced to pick a guy like Danny Collins. I’m usually hesitant to overly blame coaches but my goodness

Fire Coyle, Fire Fleck! Rip the Band-Aid off!!!

That sweet, sweet, sweet Nike money helps in more ways than just recruiting and weight rooms. Also, this "Oregon identity" has been humming on all cylinders for like 20 years now. You witnessed an elite, top 10 national program's game day experience. I'm quite jealous, I've heard Eugene is...

All Things Class of 2026 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread (Offers, Videos, Tweets, Rankings and More)

For a fringe composite 5 star, his offer list is oddly short. Also, no offers from in-state IU or ND. I'd imagine once this news starts to get out some others will make a run at him.

Fire Coyle, Fire Fleck! Rip the Band-Aid off!!!

100% this. UMN doesn't have any notable alumni with f-you money who actually care about college football. This is what matters. It's irrelevant how many Fortune-500 companies Minnesota has, or much wealth is concentrated in the metro area, or how well, P4P, we punch above our weight...

    FIRE GREG HARBAUGH

Collins has been most disastrous part of the season IMO. Too much talent on D (relatively buy Gopher standards) for some of these terrible performances

Hutchinson JUCO safety MJ Graham committs

Yep. Some of the bigger JUCO's used to be loaded with talent. Now those guys don't need that year anymore

    FIRE GREG HARBAUGH

Yep. All that needs to be said. Harbaugh is who he is.

Post Game Thread: Hawkeyes Humiliate Gophers

You're only as good as your coaching staffs. PJ has lost way too much coaching talent over the last few years and eventually it just gets impossible to reload and replace these guys every single year. We (and PJ) have been complaining about not paying our assistants enough for years. We are near...

Gophers Open -2.5 vs Cal Bears

PJ has his own philosophy (one game championship seasons) that fits his coaching framework and approach with his team. That's fine, it works for him, but if many (or most) other coaches agree that momentum is important, are they wrong? I also don't think that PJ's "0-0 in the Cal season"...

Cal doing a GOLD OUT against Minnesota.

To contrast Cal I think we go all whites, or maroon/white/white

    Non-Conference Scheduling

Agreed, but I doubt that happens now with B1G and SEC shuffling their non-con's to avoid having high-risk, low-reward games with non power teams. For example, I heard today that NDSU only has one power 4 game in the next several years lined up, nobody wants to schedule them.

The NIL era - a before and after line with mixed levels of success for coaches/schools around the country

I think I've read somewhere that the majority of the Big Ten has higher endowments than the top 3 or 4 SEC schools. Also bigger alumni bases and overall more money. It's only a matter of time before the landscape shifts.

Blaine McCorkle press conference after facing MN.

Yep, he was their meal ticket. OK State is in no-man's land and they have a wild identity crisis. Their fanbase thinks they should be the team from 15 years ago so there's a crazy amount of pressure on the program but it's just not feasible. Also I'm sure a lot of the Texas and Oklahoma talent...

Blaine McCorkle press conference after facing MN.

Stand-up guy, and a hell of a coach to keep that locker room bought in considering all of their struggles. Also says a lot about PJ. Outsiders were clowning us for only putting up 17 in the second half, but that was all PJ showing respect to the other side.

Gophers Open -2.5 vs Cal Bears

Have you ever played sports? Have you ever been a part of a locker room? Sports, and especially sports with short seasons like college football, are about momentum and group psychology. Let's unpack this for you Matty: If we have a bad loss at Cal, we then have Rutgers, at home, a chance for...
