Last year we had two returning players and only one had played any minutes the previous season. This year we have five returning players, including 3 starters. We're clearly in a better place than one year ago.

I'd say there's a decent chance all 9 of these guys make the week 1 roster. I'm not sure the last time that happened.

Now that The Minnesota Sports Gods have taken multiple chunks out of the Wolves, I like the Wild's chances. The streak of Minnesota never having NHL and NBA playoff series wins in the same season may live on though.

Who cares? If someone claims him, which is unlikely, there's nothing of value lost. Buxton has been a too much of a two outcome hitter all season. HR or strikeout. His OBP is pretty bad. No reason for him to stay batting lead-off. Put Martin and Keashall in the top two spots.

How bad is Edwards injury?

It's time to call up Rodriguez and Culpepper and demote Wallner and Outman. Move Keashall to 1st and Lee to 2nd. That improves the defense at SS and 2B and maybe even at 1st. Also make Martin the everyday LF and leadoff hitter. Move Buxton to 5th or 6th.

The defense ranked 3rd last year while Grenard had 3 sacks and missed a bunch of games.

Trading Grenard doesn't make them better in 2026. But because of Turner it also doesn't make them much worse. It likely does make them better in 2027.

Maybe he locked KOC in the Greg Harbaugh closet at Winter Park.

It's close to zero. Stephens is zero. Viohola won't come here with the Michigan big in that spot. Omot bailed early, he's a zero. Willis is the only one I could possibly see, but he's not coming back to be Evans back-up IMO. That's likely why left.
