Hopefully. Depends on the draw too. They also had some pretty terrible luck last year and could easily have won 10 anyway (non goal-tend call at OSU, USC flop, both Wisconsin games, Penn State etc.).
Stephens was a very late add and I don't think would have played much even if healthy. Omot's really the only case where they gambled on a known injury risk and lost. The rest were bad luck.
I think when you evaluate the 8 man rotation based on what limited information we have, the starting line-up is a push or slight downgrade (depending on Tyson vs who replaces him) but the bench will be much better.
On a spit-ball 1-10 scale:
1. Reynolds 6.5 to Kyan Evans 7: +0.5. Evans is not...
That one is on Shelton. You can't use Anthony Banda in that spot. Literally anyone else would have been better. Banda and Outman should be released released tomorrow for Funderburk and Roden.
Agreed. They need depth practically everywhere. Just take the BPA. I'm pretty sure Harrison Smith is coming back, so safety is a need at some point in the draft but it's not necessary in round 1 if better options are available.
Shinholster didn't play much this year, even when we only had 6 or 7 guys. He seems pretty limited offensively. Just speculation that Tomes has higher upside and might be tracking to be the starting PG in 27-28.
