    Wemby my gosh!

Wemby is the antidote to the constant switching offenses. If they play them straight up, he puts you into a really tough spot because the big can't show, so you get PNR'd to death. If you switch, you're in the hell you just described.

    Wemby my gosh!

He's kind of like Shaq, not in style, but impact.

Are you now cheering for KAT to win it all.

Knicks vs. OKC? Who you rooting for?

Surprise at #4 - CBS Projects Gophers Drake Lindsey to Get Drafted #4 Overall; Greg Johnson 15th

I think Arch gets a bad rep because of the Ohio State game. Arch is bigger. He is more athletic and their passing stats are close. Arch did all that with significantly worse weapons. They were horrific running the ball (1200 fewer yards rushing and 18 fewer rushing TDs) and very pedestrian...

Your favorite bits of Gopher lore or obscure details

One of my personal favorites was Esezi Otomewo beating the breaks off Brenhart to get the safety against Nebraska. However, the most important one, in my lifetime, was probably the mini-hail mary followed by Nystrom GW FG against Penn State.

I think that is the best play I've seen by a Gopher.

2026 Second Round Playoff Thread: Minnesota vs San Antonio

Yeah, I think we'd be favored in just about any series. I do think we match up really well with Denver but there are teams who would bother us that Denver matches up better with. I could also understand an argument for Cleveland or maybe NY.

Are you now cheering for KAT to win it all.

Yep. I will be rooting hard for them in the next series.

2026 Second Round Playoff Thread: Minnesota vs San Antonio

The people talking about firing Finch on this board are completely out of touch. There are two franchises that are really ahead of us and they both kind of fluked into it. SAS, of course, wins the lottery when it is Wemby. The dude is an alien. He's not far off from winning the Lebron...

That's the same as saying they want to keep Kyrie, which maybe the do. They aren't that far from being a pretty good team.

Are you now cheering for KAT to win it all.

If it were possible to cheer for KAT but not the Knicks, absolutely. NY fans are just insufferable.

That could make sense. I am not sure we move on from Rudy. I think he's more valuable to us than what we would fetch in a trade. Kyrie is interesting though.

2026 Second Round Playoff Thread: Minnesota vs San Antonio

Yeah, it's just my opinion. IMO, there are very few people on the planet better at coaching basketball than Finch. Maybe Sam is one of those 10-15 people. I'd bet my money on not.

    OKC's ridiculous flopping

As a lifelong Lebron hater, I caught myself rooting for them against OKC. OKC is the least likeable team I can remember.

    Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Wolves?

This offseason is where it gets interesting. Giannis, with his contract, really has all the leverage. There really aren't that many suitors. Golden State? What could they really give up? Boston: Jaylen Brown trade could make sense. Miami: Herro and pieces? Maybe Wolves: Pupu platter of Naz...

Time to look ahead.......what is your plan?

Yep, if you would have told me we would play a version of of SAS with Castle hitting shots and Dylan Harper playing the best ball of his young career, I would have have expected it to be difficult for us to compete. They have 4 good guards - legitimately good, a couple really solid role...

Time to look ahead.......what is your plan?

Connelly has been fantastic here. The biggest realistic issue I have with our roster construction is that we don't go after PGs but that's a Finch thing. I know I'm in the minority here, but I think Finch is a good coach. I do disagree with him on the amount of minutes we play without a true...

Time to look ahead.......what is your plan?

I believe they would just switch and Rudy would take whoever was closer to the rim (Rudy). When we started running out lineups with fewer post players, we were getting murdered on the defensive end. The truth is that SAS is a really awful matchup for us. They're good and they take away the...

Time to look ahead.......what is your plan?

IMO, the Timberwolves will be desperate to make a big move. They just do not have the pieces to compete with OKC or SAS right now and they know it. We also have a unique situation where a star player (who has all the leverage) seems interested in a sign and trade with the Wolves. I realize this...
