The Athletic: Why the cost of college football roster building won’t slow down anytime soon

Nonsense. I was just told earlier today by @GopherGrit that a CBA will be coming soon. Obviously the author of this article reached out to the wrong people for comment.

Athletic: College football may be in danger

What's the going rate for something that hasn't been done before?

Athletic: College football may be in danger

You talking it into existence isn't going to make it happen. I'll bet you $100 that you'll be on you 1000th new moniker name, which is only like 994 more to go, and college football still won't have a CBA. There is no reason for the players to accept one, and no way to force them to like the...

Oregon Dan Lanning: Koi is "football serious."

But if you wanna "read" into the quote, maybe Lanning is saying something like that lol. For example, I'm a software engineer. If I took a new job and after a few months or so someone asked my supervisor about me and if all he said was, "he's computer serious" I'd be a little disappointed and...

Athletic: College football may be in danger

Even if we won the CFP, if we had to do it that way, I wouldn't care too much. Rather spend $1000 on a made up banner that says "we're champs" and use the other $99,999,000 elsewhere.

Athletic: College football may be in danger

"Having to attend class will negatively impact their earning potential as an athlete", is the argument I can see striking class attendance down. ;)

Athletic: College football may be in danger

The article doesn't say. But it's Nebraska, so those corn heads were probably stupid enough to submit it themselves.

So you quoted @GreasyGopher but didn't say anything. You must REALLY like his post. ;)

Athletic: College football may be in danger

Thanks for posting these. This question sounds like something I would have asked. I disagree with the response about NASCAR though. I don't think NASCAR fans are loyal to drivers, just like college football fans aren't loyal to players. NASCAR fans just wanna see cars racing, college fb fans...

Athletic: College football may be in danger

The work you mentioned is already covered by the $20M House settlement. They are supposed to be doing some other kind of (non-football) work in order to get the other money, like make appearances and sign autographs, things like that.

Athletic: College football may be in danger

Can anyone say what it was about? I'm not interested in having to add them to my email ignore for just one article. I was able to see something about an Oklahoma player suing because he went undrafted and wants to come back to college ball, I think?

Oregon Dan Lanning: Koi is "football serious."

Wasn't Collins the secondaries coach for a bunch of our guys in the NFL now? That certainly doesn't translate to calling plays but if there was one position group that shouldn't have changed much.... Now the Dline players I could see with that kinda argument.

The U bought Station 19. What do you want to see The U do with it? Keep as BWW? New venture? Something bolder?

Maybe for pizza, but to me the quality of burrito loco was meh last time I went. I used to really like it.

It's still one less place to go. I don't see what's wrong in pointing that out.

You're probably right, and it'll be so Minnesota to have them turn it into offices for administrators or something.

Oregon Dan Lanning: Koi is "football serious."

Your comment led me to want to read the article. It had like 1 quote from the coach, the rest was filler from the author. We're graduating far, far to many sports journalism majors.
