Which college football blue bloods are actually still blue bloods in 2026?

It wild they are saying oregon almost a blue blood with zero national titles and only one appearance Washington has been to a national title game more recently than Oregon Oregon is a top 5 non blue blood. You gotta actually win something to be a blue blood,

The Mountain West is in serious dialogue to add FCS powerhouse North Dakota State as a football-only member starting this coming season

Call me a tommie homer but shouldn’t NDSU football have to have its own board? Bump the thread by the way

    2026 Win Totals

There is like a 40-50% chance that Wisconsin has to forfeit the game due to everyone already entering portal due to coaching change

Gophers’ season over? Men’s basketball wait and see on postseason options

I would be against a 6-6 gopher team accepting a bowl bid with 12 healthy players

    2026 Win Totals

Even money. I would take over at 6.5 if forced. Wouldn’t at 7.5 But I think 6 or 7 wins is the most likely outcome. I think 8+ more likely than 5 or fewer

How much is the University of Minnesota paying athletes? They refuse to say.

I don’t know what’s in the agreements the athletes signed. But if there wasn’t a waiver for FERPA then many lawyers it would be illegal to disclose

How much is the University of Minnesota paying athletes? They refuse to say.

Because it violates federal law for it not to be a secret

    Michigan fires Moore

Why would that possibly be an ncaa issue? That’s an Institutional, state of Michigan, and possibly dept of education issue isn’t it?

How much is the University of Minnesota paying athletes? They refuse to say.

Don’t know if that is true. At public institutions students have a right to privacy. So you may be right but it’s not as clear cut as just waiting for a court FERPA protects education records. So if employment is dependent education enrollment then it has different public record standards...

    The next great Fleck team

Yes but they signed for Claeys Literally zero of them signed for kill

    The next great Fleck team

Yup. For some they want to give kill credit for Tyler Johnson rather than fleck but also want to give Mason credit for Eric decker and not Brewster. Some people still haven’t gotten over the fact Claeys was let go. It’s pretty sad. It’s been 10 years, time to get over it

STrib: Could the Gophers find a way to duplicate Indiana’s football success?

Agree All else being equal Mn probably wins another 1.5 per year the last 8 years if they’re in the big 12 (IMO) So tough to make an evaluation

The Athletic: Who will be coaching your school in 2030? Predicting every Power 4 football program’s head man

Correct 25% of the nfl will change coaches in a year Apply that to power 4 and it could be 16 coaches per year or so in the power 4

The Athletic: Who will be coaching your school in 2030? Predicting every Power 4 football program’s head man

UCLA is a place more difficult to win with higher expectations. UCLA is one of the few big ten jobs that’s clearly worse than Mn imo

    The next great Fleck team

Why does kill get credit for Claeys recruits? Is this an admission he was never a real coach? Either Claeys was never a real coach or these were Claeys recruits not kills. Can’t do it both ways (not all of them, but the “empire class”) I’m fine if Claeys gets credit and he is a real coach. I...
