"I'll put up the money and we can go get Fernando [Mendoza]." Mark Cuban tells FOS that he provided the NIL money which allowed Indiana to sign QB

Well that’s actually on the schools. Nothing prevents an individual school from writing a multiple year contract with a large enough player buyout to prevent them from transferring

"I'll put up the money and we can go get Fernando [Mendoza]." Mark Cuban tells FOS that he provided the NIL money which allowed Indiana to sign QB

Mendoza wasn’t the most expensive QB in the cycle: Cignetti’s biggest advantage is scouting the right players. Indiana upped the money to buy players but I bet they are closer to 25 than 1 in payroll. If you identify correctly you can win big if you can get top 25-30 payroll, the more you...

Big Ten details 24-team CFP plan with no league title games

New AFCA recommendation essentially says there should be a ban on 5 days rest. So this means a team couldn’t play Saturday then Thursday. To me, this essentially means whoever gets put on Thursday or Friday in round of 24 will then be put on Thursday or Friday again in round of 16 and...

    FSU to B1G

Syracuse and BC do not have the research profile to be invited. FSU and Notre dame don’t either. But maybe it would be overlooked (like Nebraska) due to football brand. Pitt has it; UNC does, Virginia does

Big Ten to distribute historic $1.37 billion in revenue to its 18 members for 2025 fiscal year

I would assume the difference is CFP reimbursements and payouts as well as NCAA men’s and women’s basketball reimbursements (which would be much smaller than footballs due to team size)

    FSU to B1G

Correct. Unless the playoff structure changes, having multiple divisions doesn’t make any sense. But basically you can create a more balanced and easy schedule to understand by pooling teams into groups, then pairing groups into “divisions” But the divisions are essentially scheduling round...

You are correct in thinking that the pie would have to grow by a greater percentage than the number of pieces grow

    FSU to B1G

Honestly we are already in position where 10-2 is going to make the playoff 90% of the time If there are new additions I hope they make 10-2 easier not harder

Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby is checking into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction.

No legit sources but rumors I’ve heard is that he was turned in by cinci for failing to pay the out clause of leaving Or something along those lines

Interesting "What if" scenarios in history

These are all interesting. I contend that Hitler would’ve done something dumb even if he didn’t need to. His insanity drove his success and failure. What if Eisenhower ran as a Democrat instead of a Republican?

All it’s going to take is a couple Edina parents losing their house because their kids ran up gambling debts on their accounts without their knowledge

Kaliakmanis leads the nation in passing yards (1150).

Fewer than 50% of 7th round picks are on the 53 man roster week 1. The Steelers had 12 picks. They now entering the draft not all 12 will make their 53 man roster. Because they aren’t having a team with 20% rookies. You don’t have to like it, but it’s just math. There simply aren’t enough...

All Things 2026 NFL Draft/NFL UDFA Signings

I think Darius Taylor will be an interesting. His 40 time at the combine, to me, could help or hurt him a lot. I see everything that says nfl back except top end speed and durability.

It’s reversible. They want to get rid of it quickly is to regulate and enforce it. That would take political will. So I guess it’s irreversible

Kaliakmanis leads the nation in passing yards (1150).

7th round is so interesting. If you already know a guy isn’t going to make a roster, you basically draft to fill out your preseason depth chart knowing you’ll cut them. This is why a lot of people say they’d rather be UDFA instead of 7th round. I think that’s more true than it used to be...
