    Thoughts on 2026?

No, you're not an idiot because a true idiot would never say "I'm an idiot."

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN TEASE PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

That's probably true. In this case, the five starters provided sufficient scoring by themselves but that won't always be the case. The defense was especially good last night and that kept Indiana's scoring down.

    I was wrong

I watched most of the second half of that game. North Alabama was better than you might think. They were well coached, the players were in sync with each other, and they moved constantly.

Assuming that's true, Wisconsin wasn't that great when he coached. Clem coached MN from the 1987 season until the 1999 season. Wisconsin had one 20-win season, five overall winning seasons, two .500 seasons, and six losing seasons in that time span.

Yes, but they provided valuable breather minutes and they rebounded and played defense. They also had only 1 turnover among the three of them in a combined 21 minutes. Pretty good considering the team had 16 turnovers overall.

NCAA Has Released the First NET Rankings

Not a healthier Big Ten, Big East, or B12 team. Teams from those conferences who do not make the NCAA tournament must go to the College Basketball Crown if they are invited and wish to play in a post-season tournament. They can decline to play in postseason but cannot decline a CBC bid to go...

    I was wrong

Did you watch Pitino's 3rd season and Johnson's second? They were terrible teams but they each won 2 regular season conference games. A Big Ten team hasn't gone winless in conference since Northwestern in the 1999-2000 season.

In his first conference game, Niko has now won half as many conference games as Pitino won in his 3rd season and Johnson won in his second. The great thing about this win (in addition to being a rare one against Indiana) is it was truly a team effort.

He is. You can't teach being a wide load and he does jump quickly to grab the defensive board. But, yeah, he needed to so a little more conditioning work in the offseason.

When I see him, I think of Bill Cosby's Fat Albert routine: "Hey, hey, hey!" Takes up a lot of space inside though so that's worth something.

Yes. He was part of a 3 man freshmen class but the other two decomitted.

Yep. Obviously, Indiana is very aware of that as they've played 9 guys so far.

Gophers 2025 Movement Roster Thread - Transfers, Bowl Opt-Outs, Etc.

yes, but they don't seem to be counting junior college (at least one year) now. It seems to be treated like a prep school year (which isn't so unfair I guess). Rigsby got an extra year this season because of that.

I guess that's one advantage of having a player hurt. They're not worth as much on the transfer market.

Starting PG Chansey Willis out for the year

On3 lists one player in the 2026 transfer portal, Caden Pierce. He's listed as a forward but he looks like a swingman. He's from Princeton. I'm not sure why he went to the portal at the end of October. He did pretty well there the last couple of seasons. Caden Pierce

Starting PG Chansey Willis out for the year

I wish someone would track the numbers of invalids on college basketball rosters over the last five or six years. I'd be interested to see where we would rank.

Starting PG Chansey Willis out for the year

He played two full seasons for North Dakota but was sidelined after 4 games for California last season.
