Weird to see a really good 10-2 Utah matched up with a 7-5 Nebraska in a mid bowl game like Vegas. It seems they should have higher on the list.

Why is everyone here rooting for effing Michigan? I'd like them to lose 3 times today if possible.

SEC Bias: This is a reminder that LSU these last 5 years is the same as Minnesota, just with a lot more AP votes and more FCS wins.

The BG10 is 13-16 vs the SEC since the beginning of the 2021 season so far with 4 more games on the schedule. LSU is 3-1 in that time. MN hasn't played an SEC team since Auburn 2019-20. The SEC still owns a razor thin edge. https://mcubed.net/ncaaf/tvc/sec/big10.shtml#games

    Typical fleck game

Is this a joke? The list of drop back QBs in the CFP is long. Probably about half of total participants.

    How To Fix College Football

I think the solicitation of more NIL partnerships like the Cub Foods deal could actually be sustainable and a way forward. Regional consumer brands spend a ton on marketing and running a smart campaign with the local team might actually produce an ROI for the brand. I'm guessing it's only a...

How would you rate Drake Lindsey in his first season as starting QB?

B as a first year starter RS frosh. Probably C’ish on the fine points of being a complete Power 4 QB with room for improvement with experience but a straight up A on “clutch”. I love that attribute. Also, A on durability, an underrated attribute.

How would you rate Drake Lindsey in his first season as starting QB?

To points above regarding the long ball/vertical game, Lindsey didn’t have the receiver corps nor offensive line to be successful. It was tried early on and seldom worked. I don’t think Harbaugh was running the extreme West Coast purely from choice.

A tough slog of a game until it wasn’t.

Yeah, it was crazy how 3 Lions rushers were immediately blowing past 5 offensive lineman with no resistance. To the point it seemed rigged...I know it wasn't, but it was that bad.

A $140 million wide receiver is even more unsustainable than a $100 million QB. I love Jefferson, but c'mon.

All Things 2025 College Football D2 and D3 Thread

The UW system is definitely a bit of an outlier. I think there are about a dozen east coast public D3 schools and a small handful of others nationally including UM Morris and most of those are small. The WIAC schools are still an outlier based size. I think River Falls is the smallest at about...

    Nine Years of PJ's Offense

Thanks for this. As much as we all bitched about the Sanford offenses, they got some production in comparison.

    Nine Years of PJ's Offense

The Gophers have moved to a pro-style offense versus the typical college RPO, spread, etc. I'm guessing for recruitment/development and differentiation (most colleges depend on athletic QBs now). That won't change as long as Lindsey is here. Maybe longer. That's OK in my opinion. 1) Offensive...

The durability factor could be McCarthy's downfall and it definitely makes things more complicated for Vikings management. Unless Brosmer looks like the second coming of Joe Montana the last couple games, they HAVE to bring in a decent veteran QB for competition. That's too bad cuz McCarthy has...

    It's time for a change.

Dehnicke was listed as 6'3" 205 lbs. He might need some strength and conditioning to get up to BG10 TE levels. Regardless, leading the NSIC in receiving yards as a TE is impressive. I'm guessing he didn't do much blocking.

All Things 2025/26 College Football Transfer Portal Thread

I was under the impression the student has the option of retaining the scholarship even if they were cut from the active team roster (assuming they were in good standing). In that scenario, that scholarship would not count against the roster limit. I would assume that situation is rare as most...
