Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

Mendoza mimicking some vintage Vince Young.

Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

Just watch. The refs are allowing DBs to do as they please all game as well as O Line holding. Both teams. With the game on the line near the end, the officials will finally call PI or holding on one team or the other to influence the game. Guaranteed.

Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

#29 for Miami pulled a Perich on that tackle attempt.

Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

My one and only visit to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, fka Joe Robbie Stadium, had bad memories. Gophers vs NC State in the infamous Micron PC.com Bowl. A relatively warm but rainy evening turned into another epic Masonesque huge blown lead for a loss. Phillip Rivers went insane in the 2nd half.

Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

I think that if Miami wins, they turn into the super juggernaut of college football. As much as my jealousy and envy doesn't want the suddenly relevant Indiana to win, I don't want Miami to win even more...regardless of endless Cignetti threads.

Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

Every week I think Indiana doesn't have the horses to keep winning. Every week I'm wrong. So this week, I finally truly believe in Indiana, so that means I'm wrong and Miami will win.

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

I initially thought Perich was a lock in Miami. Hetherman would have got him if he thought Perich was worth the ask.

Once the ink hits the contract and this is finalized, we'll probably start hearing some locker room scuttlebutt on contributing factors.

1977 Letter from Bobby Bowden to his team prior to season starting

The best part "Be sure to have your head screwed on right when you get here". And, yes, "one common goal" is basically RTB.

    Nathan Roy Named Freshman All-American

I love this. The Fleck era has attracted and produced some very good O-Lineman. Some of these guys take a ton of development investment so let's hope they can keep it together and not just be a feeder program and lose guys in their prime years (Daniels, Lewis, Dunlap, etc.). We're seeing that...

Both underperformed (backed up by PFF stats) given the dollars and celebrity status heaped upon them. Granted, they were both young and maybe getting a lot more playing time than they would have gotten at Oregon or OSU as freshman and sophomores. It could have been their plan all along to use MN...

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

Some people are bus drivers that naturally work to take the group to a new higher destination (e.g., Carter Coughlin and Mo Ibrahim come to mind - Drake Lindsey showing real promise) but most are bus riders. It's a disappointment when you have belief in someone as a driver that turns out to be...

Seems 50/50 that Moore declares for the draft or not, so less than 50/50? Until last weekend, I was going with the notion that Moore was a better prospect than Mendoza.

Going to Oregon will be either a great or a terrible decision for Perich due to heavy competition. They are loaded at safety even if their 3rd-year All American declares for the draft. Good luck.

The avg age of the Indiana Hoosiers team is 23 years old.... For perspective the Green Bay Packers avg age this season is 25 years old.

I went to PFF and calculated the average first season of stats for each team (cuz I'm a nerd sometimes), 11/11 regular players and not kickers. Indiana averaged a first year of 2022.2 and Miami at 2022.1, so Miami would be about a month older in my calcs. Both would average just under 23 y/o...

ESPN: College football buzz: What we're hearing about playoff expansion

I like the top 5 conference champs getting an auto bid. If the ACC can't get its act together enough for its champ to not be in that top 5 than tough cookies. If the tournament goes to a nice even 16, even better. Also, I like @PMWinSTP's post above about rotating the top NYD bowls to be...

    Curt Cignetti

Sounds crackpot and like a bad excuse, which it probably is, but I tend to assume that stuff is happening at some level with the dollars at play.
