    Fleck Signs New Contract!

The scary thing about this is that Rutgers, Purdue, and Mich State all easily could have been losses. Meaning that, I'm worried we used up a lot of karma to pull those wins out. As was discussed to death during the season, was also really wild how stark the difference in opponent quality was...

Big Ten details 24-team CFP plan with no league title games

That's sad that playoff games would have less TV value that meaningless conf championship games. I'm sure ratings for Ohio State vs IU last year didn't do any favors to those, like me, who want to get rid of them, especially since they hadn't played, it was 1 v 2 and probably was going to stay...

All Things 2026 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

It proves that it's a contrived, fabricated way to measure "success". In only 3 seasons, if things fall perfectly, you can have 18-24 different franchises win playoff games. Three years. Whoopty doo

All Things 2026 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

Now do total times since 2015 season making the playoffs. See, I can fabricate meaningless metrics too! Also for your metric, any team that gets a bye past the Wild Card round should automatically get to count that as a playoff win. Otherwise you're foolishly and unfairly penalizing a team...

All Things 2026 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

I guess I'm not really that concerned about the offseason thoughts of someone who lies about the objective fact that the Wilfs are top owners in the league and lies about the objective fact that Rodgers had a much better 2025 season than anyone was thinking he would have. As the Wilfs...

The deal is near finalized for #UCLA football to play its home games in SoFi Stadium.

Duke gave it a shot for perfectly valid reasons/concerns, and it failed. It didn't work. You can stop your performative hysterics now :)

All Things 2026 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

Since they started taking 14 teams in the 2020 season (the season immediately after the Vikings last won a playoff games), 6-8 franchises win playoff games every year, depending on if the #1 seeds win or lose in the divisional in each conference. Therefore, your 22 stat is actually nothing...

2025 Minnesota High School Football Thread

I know it used to be one of the largest schools in the state. Guessing these days upper-middle class Savage kids now open enroll to Prior Lake. Remaining kids are bad demographics for football?

All Things 2026 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

You guys just gotta do what you need to do to prepare your head for the fact that it's going to be Cousins. KOC is in survival mode. There will be no QB reasonably available, for whatever we can afford and given our situation, that has more familiarity with his offense and him as a coach...

CBS: Big Ten football power rankings 2026 (9. Minnesota; The Golden Gophers are worth keeping an eye on)

We haven't beaten Iowa at home since the 2014 season, the Citrus Bowl year when Kill stomped them 51-14. Iowa was somewhat down that year, finishing 4-4 in Big Ten 7-5 overall regular season.

CBS: Big Ten football power rankings 2026 (9. Minnesota; The Golden Gophers are worth keeping an eye on)

Another way to look at it is: 2-0 against easy non-conf leaving 10 P4 games ... to go: 6-6 you have to go 4-6 against P4 7-5 you have to go 5-5 against P4 8-4 you have to go 6-4 against P4 Last year we went 5-5: Losses - @ Cal, @ OSU, @ Iowa, @ Oregon, @ NW (Wrigley) Wins - Rutgers, Purdue...

The Mountain West is in serious dialogue to add FCS powerhouse North Dakota State as a football-only member starting this coming season

Both UC Davis and Sacramento State are located in the Sacramento area, so would be pretty wild for a lower level conference to have both (not like USC and UCLA, for example). But just seems like it won't make sense for the Pac-12 to sit at nine members, seems like they're going to want to take...

The Mountain West is in serious dialogue to add FCS powerhouse North Dakota State as a football-only member starting this coming season

They will have 10 full members (ie. members that are all sports other than football): Air Force, Grand Canyon, Nevada, UNLV, New Mexico, San Jose State, Wyoming + new full members Hawaii (was football-only), UC Davis, and UTEP Plus, Northern Illinois football-only and sure seems like NDSU...

The deal is near finalized for #UCLA football to play its home games in SoFi Stadium.

If players can just decide to break their multi-year contracts with a school, then a school can just decide to break their multi-year contract with a stadium. Judge can't touch them, fair is fair :)

He'd be wearing those laser neon yellow sports glasses out on the field. Yes, including when, especially when, it's a cloudy day. Defensive backs couldn't miss him.

Fleck on NIL, Season Results, Next Year, & Indiana

Bold: this is correct, but it doesn't really say it. The entirety of college football history from 2023 and before ... is sheer bunk and irrelevant compared to NIL going forward. Indiana being bad ... has absolutely nothing at all to do with $$Indiana$$ being good. They are entirely...
