Shooter: Don’t be surprised if former Orono star Nolan Groves ends up with the Gophers for his sophomore season.

I’d argue he needs to be the main ball handler. He is not a SG. He’s had the opportunity to shoot much higher volume this year, and they need a pure shooter in the off guard role. Asuma is struggling because he has to do way too much ATM with the injuries. With more talent around him, I think...

Kinda wonder this too…. I can assure you Niko will be recruiting for much more talented guards.

I hear ya. He should be playing. Selfishly, I want to see if he can be a player next year, and wish he would let lose. I’ve been really disappointed with his arch this year. I felt like he showed some flashes early, but as he’s been given an opportunity to play, he’s totally fumbled it.

Grayson Grove, Nolan Anderson, and Nolan Groves may be too much….

    Bobby Durkin appreciation post!

He’s turned into a really nice piece who I am thrilled will be back next year.

"KenPom is bull***t" Sit back an enjoy this four minute dialogue from Doug Gottlieb on the KenPom rankings. (mentions St. Thomas, Minnesota)

There’s definitely a little of that, but in the flipside, if you ONLY beat a team like Alcorn State by 20, you’re getting docked. It’s also not going to help your O efficiency if you boat race the 350th defensive team (I don’t know what they are, probably something like that). I think with AI...

***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN STATE AT MINNESOTA, IZZO TO COMPLIMENT MEDVED POST-GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Wire to wire never in doubt. I haven’t read through all the posts but this is what has me fired up. -Sparty bigs cooper and kohler were totally neutralized. Like how is that even possible? Every time I tune into MST those guys are making huge plays. JCJ was doing work! -Starting the game...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PENN ST IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

100%. At this point, I feel nothing. Teams go seasons without these kinds of losses, yet we seem to face them every game. Just gotta laugh at this point. Get all the bad luck out of the system, and revert to the mean starting next year.

Had to protect the players. But yeah, not ideal; and should have rolled the dice in man.

I think Nikos offense is really easy to guard right now because too many players aren’t a threat to make a three.

Exactly. Max f**** Gizzi played in this game. Let’s take the lumps this year. Depth won’t be an issue next. Grove getting this experience, Bobby figuring it out, even Kai getting under the skin of super seniors…We will have a squad next year.

I think one of the silver linings of these injuries, beyond Grove and Shinholster getting a ton of minutes, is learning Asuma needs to be the full-time PG on next year's team. He's not a pure shooter by any stretch of the imagination, but he is a guy who can keep defenses honest (unlike...

    Injury Updates?

If all these injured guys come back, we're going to be like Indiana football on the court.
