***OFFICIAL IOWA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

He’s out. Oturu’s gonna shutdown Garza and we’ll dominate these fools!

Could Marcus Carr become the best point guard in Gophers history?

Bobby Jackson was pretty stellar too (I know that was late 90s). But Carr has definitely exceeded expectations. I would say this undoubtedly is the best PG/C combo I’ve seen in the past 20+ years. Carr is putting up numbers equal to Tre Jones right now with stiffer competition.

STrib: Gophers basketball relishing long-awaited bye week before Iowa showdown

The break should definitely serve them well with all the minutes the starters have been playing. Also gives Willis a chance to get to 100%. Let's hope Indiana runs them Hawkeyes ragged tomorrow night.

    Predictions for last 7 games...

With as wacky as the B1G has been this year, anywhere between 3-4 and 6-1 is a reasonable prediction. I'm optimistic and think we'll finish strong, and this team could be real exciting and pull off some upsets in the dance when the outside shooting heats up at just the right time.

All Things 2019-2020 Other College Basketball Games Thread

Jones and Carr have a very similar stat line on the year. Knowing we get Carr for two more years, I would almost take him over Jones.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PSU IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Can anyone think of a better PG/C combo the team has had in the past 20 years? If the other players could find some consistency from outside we could hang with just about anyone. Our defense has been solid and while it was sub par today Penn St was hitting some ridiculous shots. I still have...

PP: Gophers basketball team needs more from its reserves, and Isaiah Ihnen stepping up

Freeman would have to step up fast and put on some muscle in the off-season (I remember hearing that he was a late bloomer and may get even bigger). Hopefully he's learning a thing or two under the tutelage of Oturu and surprises us all next year. Otherwise we definitely need to get another...

PP: Gophers basketball team needs more from its reserves, and Isaiah Ihnen stepping up

He certainly doesn’t fill the stat sheet with much besides fouls, but I do think he injects some good energy into the team and has some serious hustle.

House Report: Payton Willis guides the Gophers to a 70-52 win over Wisconsin

Willis has seemed to have a lot of 3's that were rattling in and out prior to tonight's game. It was good to see them finally dropping.

Fun to see what the team can do when they're hitting 3's.

    Miracles never cease, Davison suspended

I had to turn off the game because I couldn't bear watching that smug turd pumping up the crowd from the bench. I'm glad he's going to be back on Wednesday, it will make the win that much more delicious.

    Isaiah Ihnen

I know Demir has been improving this season too, but man has his outside shooting been rough and he looks downright sluggish at times. I would like to see Ihnen steal more of his minutes and create some match up issues on the perimeter. He definitely has more pep in his step than Demir.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT ILLINOIS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I keep waiting for the 3's to start dropping...woof. What gives? Solid defense but can't buy a dadgum basket! Can Greenlee shoot? Somebody has to be able to make some threes on this team.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT OSU IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

It was nice to see Ihnen get some minutes. Hopefully he keeps developing to add some depth to the bench. Gotta have a good crowd on Sunday and make some noise!

The Gophers bench all season long (video)

Omersa means more to this team than I think we realize. His energy off the bench is unbelievable and he's so good at pumping up the bench and the crowd when he's fouled out at the end of every game.

Maybe we all just need to calm down

You're like a prophet in the wilderness. You really ousted all the haters who pronounced the season over after the Iowa game. Heck, you still have jabronis like Goldteam here who want to drag us all down still.
