***OFFICIAL TEXAS SOUTHERN AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

You may be right. I thought I had heard he was much heavier in his first year of college and maybe he is on his way to where he needs to be? Not sure. Niko knew he was getting a guy that was overweight, that much is for sure.

The other alternative is to get him to lose weight. He'd be reasonably athletic if he were 30 pounds lighter. I'd love to see him do what Mo Walker did here.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE, TWO UNDEFEATED BT TEAMS, SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

A good comparison of two inherited programs: Gene Keady - won about 61% of Big Ten games Matt Painter -won about 65% of Big Ten games So he took a great program and marginally improved it Bo Ryan- won about 71% of Big Ten games Greg Gard - has won about 61% of Big ten games Not bad but he...

This isn't that hard. Hoiberg had a history that showed he could win. Ben had no such history, ever. He is a good guy who took a job he was fated to fail at- because he had no history that would carry him through the rough waters. To recruit at a high level, a coach has to make players believe...

All Things 2025-26 Other College Basketball Games Thread

Nebraska has Mast, who is terrific, and they played hard on both ends of the court last night. Their talent doesn't bring to mind top teams but they are a solid squad that will look great when they play as hard as they did last night. They run the same stuff Niko does on offense but with the...

This is not the Wisconsin defense of old. Nebraska is getting anything they want. By the way- Sam Hoiberg is actually a good player. There is no way that I would have believed 2 years ago that the 6 foot Hoiberg could be the starting PG on a winning team. But he is. It turns out that players...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE, TWO UNDEFEATED BT TEAMS, SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I get it with Turner, he gets lost on defense at times. But you physically have zero shot with Grove in there. Turner at least is a big body on the boards and setting screens. Grove may be a player at some point but he is 20 pounds of muscle away from that. Whatever the case, there was a huge...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE, TWO UNDEFEATED BT TEAMS, SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

29-2 run in the 2nd half. I don't think I have witnessed a stretch like that- even from the Gophers. Ouch. Purdue is 12-15 in the half

This is pretty impressive - they had a chance to fold and didn't. Down 5 is pretty respectable considering the foul differential.

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN TEASE PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

His blocked shot was amazing. I was shocked at his speed and also the vertical - I didn't know he had either. Good to see.

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN TEASE PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Cade Tyson is the best all around player we have had here in years. I am shocked how good the kid is and how hard he plays, within a team concept. Hubert David ought to be fired for malpractice not finding a way to play this kid.

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN TEASE PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Indiana made a huge error not going into the low post more with the way the refs were calling fouls on our bigs. 12 fouls called on JCJ, Grove and Turner in just 40 minutes of combined play from the 3 of them. Instead they settled for shooting 27 three point shots.
