Bobby April leaves Gopher staff after being hired few weeks ago

Zach Heilprin should be embarrassed by his unprofessional behavior...but if he's a Wisconsin fan he won't be. Good grief. What an awful thing to tweet. Who hates Iowa? I hate Iowa. Who hates Wisconsin? I hate Wisconsin. But I respect their HCs.

Bobby April leaves Gopher staff after being hired few weeks ago

Bobby April gave me the most hope for going 7-5/8-4 vs 6-6.

    I’m a fleck guy but

I think six B10 teams right now look at us and say, "that's a win": tOSU, Oregon, Indiana, Iowa, USC, Michigan. At a minimum, their fans do. I remember when Gopher fans used to think that about Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, and Illinois.

    I’m a fleck guy but

Again, name any Big10 team, that if they were on our schedule we can circle as a guaranteed win? I can't name one after seeing what Purdue and Northwestern did against us last year. With that, unless the season implodes and we have five wins or less, I'm on board for two more RtB excursions. I...

Former Gopher HC Lou Holtz in hospice care

Didn't Lou have an out in his contract which allowed him to go to Notre Dame with no penalty or buyout clause? I was disappointed but not mad when he left because he negotiated that fair -&-square. Still glad the U said yes because for one brief moment...

Former Gopher HC Lou Holtz in hospice care

I loved Lou Holtz before he got to Minnesota. The fan base knew their football and understood how great a hire he was. Gopher football was relevant and the Metrodome was electric. What would an equivalent hire be today? Saban? Meyer?

Ranking Minnesota Football’s Toughest Games on the 2026 Schedule

Not to be didactic or negative, outside of non-conference games, circle the sure B10 wins on our schedule. Others have reminded us of the disappointing Purdue and Northwestern games last year. I think the first five listed all view us as a win. With that I really like the incoming high school...

Ranking Minnesota Football’s Toughest Games on the 2026 Schedule

I still see 6-6...I wanna believe we can go 9-3, which I think is our ceiling. Sept 12th at home against Mississippi State and Sept 26th at Washington will tell us everything we need to know.

    2026 Schedule: Quick Thoughts.

My guess is we get no love and the national consensus is 5 wins. This year I am not as optimistic with the M&G chances. In another thread I way-to-earlied them with 7-5... I'm leaning to 6-6 now. Oh, my other hot-take....Nebraska will be pre-season top-25.. remember you read it here first!

Three Gophers in the Super Bowl

I think Seattle covers and Darnold proves he can win the "big one" when he's the guy a team with an OL...😁 (Oops... let me bounce over to the Max Brosmer thread 🙄)
