I know you all hate Coyle but

Of the reported revenue categories Coyle can impact, he's $4.3MM behind last year's revenue not includuing institutional support, which I have no idea if he has an impact on that or not.. Facts from the Article: Here are some broad strokes on the budget numbers in the annual report: Media...

I know you all hate Coyle but

Interesting given he: Tried to get on Woog's staff - Woog wouldn't touch him. Tried to get hired to replace Woog. Lucia hired him as an assistant for a few years. He left for a few reasons, including to be an assistant coach at Jan Brady U, then took over for Craig Dahl as HC. As coach of the...

I know you all hate Coyle but

So Motzko gets a waiver on pulling a PJ for the entire 3rd period? Motzko wasn't hired several times at the U for a reason before Coyle hired him. The reason he wasn't hired is because of his penchant to do less with more. He never should have been hired.

QB Jackson Kollock will enter the portal.

Maybe none of his teammates went to his birthday party.

I was there too. Painful game. The tickets were easier to come by than last night....

Who wins the National Championship: Indiana or Miami?

No. They have a plan, they play to win, and when they expose a weakness in their opponent, they exploit it until their opponent stops it. Fleck tries to do what Cignetti does, but he doesn't scheme against the opponent; he plays not to lose rather than to win. When he finds a weakness, he...

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

That had less to do with me not believing that and more to do with the fact I don't trust AI - I've gotten way too many erroneous "facts" from AI Chatbots to trust it. It is good at locating sources to find the right information, however.

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

Given that their personal income tax rates are roughly equal (Oregon's is actually slightly higher, according to AI, so, take that with a grain of salt), it was, in fact, a joke. Made all the more humor-inducing for me, in that it fit in with the wildly erroneous takes on taxes earlier in this...

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

I wonder if Koi's performance last season had to do with a significantly different lineup on D and a Havoc scheme that created lots of Havoc in the Gophers performance. As I said earlier, don't hate the player, hate the game. I don't wish injury or pain on anyone, let alone a kid who came and...

Preferably uninformed takes on taxes, and vague understanding of the laws, but strong opinions non-the-less.

    He's no PJ Fleck.....

Reusse: If Fleck were a hockey coach producing same ratio of BT wins as he has in football, there would not be fan sites with declarations of Fleck

In fairness, Motzko did take a very PJ approach in the 3rd period, with similar results as PJ when he tries it against teams that are not vastly inferior.

Is this a service academy offense????

12 of them were in the first half. Both TDs in the first half were passes. The third TD in Q3 was a pass. In the second half, Mendoza was 4-4 for 99 yards. It's amazing what you can accomplish when your team knows what they're trying to do, but the other team doesn't. Having a dominant...

Fleck looking for new RB Coach

I didn't say it wasn't cheap. Mo was a grad assistant (maybe? something like that?) here previously, and then went and coached for a year somewhere else. Of all the things you can criticize Fleck for, this is low down on the list. Maybe bringing back a player who contributed to our success...

Fleck looking for new RB Coach

ag Agree with this. It's not as if Fleck hired him to be the OC......It's a position coach job. Mo has experience and was a standout at Minnesota, and was a part of the staff in the past. Fleck is not above criticism, but criticizing this hire is a bit much.
