When Did Players Lose The Skill of Shooting a Basketball?

Alright I did a quick look at this year and last years stats. 2025: 67.7% Overall Home: 69.9% Away: 62.5% Neutral: 64% Away/Neutral: 63.55% Really not a big enough sample size since we have played two away games and 3 neutral games. 2024: 66.4% Overall Home: 64.35% Away: 73.08% Neutral: 60.38%...

Counterpoint, Mo was a top 5 running back all time for the U. (oh wait does that make your point?)

When Did Players Lose The Skill of Shooting a Basketball?

It would be interesting to see our home/away splits on free throw shooting. My working theory is that there are ghosts in the barn causing us to miss. I also wonder if opposing teams run into the same struggles at the Barn or if they shoot ~ their averages at the Barn.

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

That is 100% fair. To me it felt like there was too many times where he was in the vicinity of making the play but couldn't quite get his hands on it, or come down with it which overshadowed the good.

    Koi Perich Transfer Portal

Am I bummed to see Koi go? Yes. But I was disappointed with his play this year. Struggled to wrap up on tackles. Culturally it seemed he was more about Koi than he was about RTB. Sleeping on it, I would rather build more depth and use that money else where as Brown and Gousby can man the fort...

Through 15 Games, Cade Tyson is second in the B10 in scoring @ 21.7 per tilt

If only we could keep that pipeline going for this season! Come (to your new) home Kyan!

Didn't Noah play basketball too? From what I remember he was pretty decent (at least when we were recruiting Isaac).

Shooter: It still looks as if Ben Johnson, 44, who is taking the year off since his firing last year, will end up as an NBA assistant next year.

Ben bought my buddy a beer a little while back. Nice dude, hope he has success in the future, and that we can move on and build the program we are all hoping for.

Chip column: A night like this provides hope. It provides belief that maybe better days are around the corner.

Way off topic to where the thread started, so this will be the last thing I write on it. Iowa State currently does have an advantage in NIL and has over the last 4 years. Two clear reasons are they hired a coach who had instant success, making it easier for their fans to buy in and donate...

Chip column: A night like this provides hope. It provides belief that maybe better days are around the corner.

Not just a Facebook post, but a Facebook post that all of the comments say is inaccurate 🤣. NIL information is private and isn't posted anywhere so you can only see speculation about numbers. USAF knows this, so whenever someone posts anything about NIL he likes to "prove them wrong" by asking...

Chip column: A night like this provides hope. It provides belief that maybe better days are around the corner.

You know as well as I do that NIL does not need to be publicized by the universities so the information on what they truly have is low. It also isn't that hard to see that ISU has had more success funding players than we have. FYI 7.55 Million would be about 5 million more than what we think the...

Who cares about Ben. Move on. Also Otzelberger was struggling at UNLV before moving to Iowa State. He went 17-15 and 12-15 in 2019 and 2020. You would not have been happy if we hired him. Not to mention Iowa State has better NIL funding and fan buy in.

I think Arizona is in the same group. They have looked fantastic all year and have played a tough schedule.
