    Notre Dame Schadenfreude thread

Having 12 teams certainly makes sure the real top 4 teams are in (sans rankings), which is what really matters. Teams ranked below 8th (probably 6th) should just be happy to be in the conversation.

Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

If Taylor was a guaranteed every game player next year, I’d be okay with Ijeboi leaving. But Taylor is not a guarantee and Ijeboi will keep getting better.

The SEC is dominating the Big Ten in ratings — despite on-field parity

I think the perception that the SEC has more marketable matchups has a lot to do with the preseason rankings, which gives fuel to the ESPN hype machine.

    Notre Dame Schadenfreude thread

Notre Dame also loudly complained after the selection and then lobbied the CFP Committee to guarantee that if they finish top 12 they’ll get a CFP slot. I totally disagree with this because if the same scenario plays out again and either the 11th or 12th spot goes to a lower ranked conference...

    Notre Dame Schadenfreude thread

I don’t think anyone has said Notre Dame owes the Pop Tart Bowl anything. Most comments seem to be anti Notre Dame because of their “take the ball home” mentality. I think they got screwed because Alabama should have dropped out of the top ten instead of ND. But Bama and the SEC complained...

Shooter: Lindsey, Koi and Taylor could exceed $3 million for trio.

We've got Grey Duck beer sales for NIL, meanwhile...University of Utah nearing landmark private equity deal expected to generate $500 million

I wonder if the Big 12 needs to sign off on U of Utah’s private equity plan? Because there may be conflicts of interest if both a conference and it’s member schools want to move to private equity funding. However, it makes sense for each school to do this on their own because why would Ohio...

Is 2025 when College Bowls Die?

Tidbit from that tweet link: Georgia Tech coach Brent Key said he has a list of 36 names for the offensive coordinator opening and said he won't rush the process. "I'm going to take the time to get this thing right." Can PJ can take a hint?

I’m not paying as close attention as I used to, but I’ve only seen a handful announce they are transferring out. Are the paywall boards saying more?

No worries! Those hicks in the SEC can’t do the math to figure that out. 😂

    NDSU goes down

Not the state, but the city of Minneapolis. I first heard of Minneapple when Minneapolis ran an ad campaign in the 80’s trying to differentiate itself from St. Paul and the Twin Cities nickname. At some point it evolved to Mini-Apple and is also used for arts and events calendars and the...

    Notre Dame Schadenfreude thread

It’s fine if Notre Dame stays independent, but they have to realize they will miss out on a conference championship auto-bid, which lessens their chances of a playoff slot. They also shouldn’t be given special treatment and get a guaranteed slot if they finish in the top 12. Boos to the...

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

Maybe a little slap, but the AAC did mess this up by only playing 8 conference games which led to a 5 way tie for second place. If they play 9 conference games, there most likely would have been fewer ties and a better chance Miami gets into the conference championship game. Then the scenario...

Here is TxTech billionaire walking through blueprint for how they bought their way into the national spotlight. This is the new college football.

I agree. It’s interesting that we often get posts mistakenly thinking the state funds Gopher athletics. Many years ago, they did, but no longer except, for maybe infrastructure loans. The stadium used a loan or guarantee from the state, but I think the Athletes Village was a loan from the...

What he did doesn’t bother me because it’s now ‘in bounds’ to bankroll a team. And his boasting about it doesn’t bother me either. I just sensed he was overly pleased with himself and said so. It’s interesting to know that he did it and what he thinks about it. I’ve posted a couple times prior...

    2025 Bowl Projection Tracker

Thank you for the info. It looks like they also revenue share Bowl money with the ACC, so ND opting out of a $5 million dollar bowl game is a big loss of income for the ACC. I wonder if in response the ACC doesn’t share any post season revenue with Notre Dame?

Some people are successful and boast about it. Most successful people are modest about it, and I prefer them over the loudmouths.
