Yeah when there are 2000 in the portal and we’re posting about maybe 40-50 kids… bound to be surprises. Still a fun exercise I suppose. Thankfully I think this goes to show that these coaches are continually grinding regardless of what we think.

Yeah probably gonna have to get out of the “daycare” phase of life, but thinking this type of event would be awesome some day. Appreciate the share.

That might actually be McCollum’s play at Iowa. It might even work in this new NIL era. Pay 8 players, slow the game down to a crawl so you could theoretically only play 6. Fill the rest of the roster with scholarship practice bodies.

Even with Ali becoming Head Coach, I expect (similar to the slow dissolution of our incoming class) that the CSU sophomores and Minnesota freshman will likely slowly make there way onto our radar. Just takes time. Then use that to figure out what else the roster needs!

Only thing I will mention is that the other two Drake coaches are bringing their stars (former MVC players of the year) with them. Hopefully Niko can bring enough talent where one of them becomes a star. Otherwise he’ll have to dominate the portal elsewhere (which he may very well do). Just most...

Minnesota and the Midwest were his hotbeds, now hopefully that continues and only further develops!

Depends on how much consistency he can bring from his previous roster/regime and then ability to fill the roster holes with transfers. Anything can happen, but the non-conference schedule is also very important if we end up near the bubble at all. Looking forward to being in the conversation!
