It isn't about holding the spot. It's about holding the money it would require.

At one point, the goal was to target players that had more than one year of eligibility left. Now the priority might be to target players that in theory have zero years of eligibility left. Might as well rip off the term limit band aid too, I guess. This has gotten so stupid.

Is there an option between..... (a) if he wasn't from Minnesota we would be looking to replace him and (b) he is one half of the best guard tandems at Minnesota of the last 35 years? If so, I would take that option.
