Bits of Broken Chair Charity 2025

I made my contribution. Have you made yours? Don't worry if it's a small one - $20, $50, or $100 per person sure adds up. As of now, Husker fans are at $20,565 and Gopher fans are at a mere $12,433. Those clods aren't more generous than we are, are they?

Video: P.J. Fleck is BEST Minnesota Gophers coach in 75 years!

Oh boy. Can we save the worship for after the first national championship?

    I see 2 more wins

Minnesota wins two out of three against Michigan State, Northwestern, and Wisconsin. Minnesota wins one out of two against Nebraska and Iowa. I count three more wins, which makes a moderately disappointing season. The O-line and the corners need to get much better.

Bits of Broken Chair Charity 2025

I had the page up on my screen today, and my wallet in my hand, but I couldn't tell what I'd be donating to. So I put my wallet back in my pocket. Did you figure it out? I don't want my money going to buy more rabbits for the torture lab, or abortions for supermodels, or pizza parties for...

8th Grade Legacy QB (Carter Cupito) Starting for SMB

Dad was alright. The kid must be pretty sharp, based on performance. Does he have an offer?

Ohio State-Minnesota Preview (for OSU fans)

Okay, I hoped someone else with more talent for schematic analysis would make a move here. Here's my effort: Minnesota's reshirt freshman QB, Drake Lindsay, is a big kid with a big arm, good balance, and good throws. Unfortunately, he doesn't have access to the caliber of receivers that...

Ohio State-Minnesota Preview (for OSU fans)

Ohio State fans, your media has done a bad job previewing this game. They are lazy and uninterested, and who can blame them? After all, it's only Minnesota this week. Most of the previews produced in Ohioland say something like this: "2025 Ohio State is one of the best college football teams...

    Week 4 Other Games Thread

I believe the largest margin of victory in the Indiana-Illinois series is 51. Indiana is up 46 right now. Go for it, coach Cignetti!

    Week 4 Other Games Thread

I just turned on the Indiana-Illinois game in time to see Indy score their fifth TD of the first half. I've been skeptical of Illinois' ranking and reputation this season, and I'm glad to see Bulimia's boys getting the spanking they deserve.

    Ijeboi

Ijeboi ran beautifully in traffic. Very impressive. And say what you want about his speed, but he finished with 5.3 ypc against Cal. I'll take a 5.3 average any day.

Shama: Gophers Football Season Ticket Sales Down Slightly from 2024; third consecutive year of decline in public season tickets

Let me amend - people will support a real winner. I don't think more appearances in the banjo bowl, the oil change bowl, and the mayonnaise bowl will do it. But if the Gophers are a contender - no reason they can't be - that'll draw fans.

Shama: Gophers Football Season Ticket Sales Down Slightly from 2024; third consecutive year of decline in public season tickets

Sellouts are about more than ticket revenue, and more than concessions revenue. Sellouts mean more engaged fans who have an active rooting interest in the team, who wear team apparel and think of the U of M as their school, even if they didn't attend. It means families planning their day...
