Shipley: Fleck’s team is staying out of trouble, graduating and winning. If that’s not enough for you, pay better attention

To really, really simplify this... as long as his players continue to hand the football directly to the officials, I'm not jumping out of the boat. Just that one simple act speaks volumes about the young men PJ brings into the program. I'm not sure I wouldn't be happy tossing Greg Harbaugh out...

Strack: PJ Fleck Must Find Quarterback He Can Trust in Offseason

The players (and, often more importantly, the parents) have to drink the Kool-Aid, so to speak. That's the only way that PJ can overcome the lack of significant NIL money. Truth be told, I don't think PJ Fleck would want any player whose only concern is how much cash they're going to receive...

    2020-2021 recruiting misses

Yeah, it's great seeing what fine young men PJ has been bringing into the program. Definitely nice to see that none of his recruits, over the years, have seemed to be "train" enthusiasts.

Post Game Thread: OSU Blows Out Minnesota

If bringing in "his" boys to run his offense (and coach his QBs) is the hill PJ Fleck has decided to die on... He's in a lot of trouble. All he has to do is look back at what happened to the last Slogan-slingin' head coach we had here in Minnesota. Tim Brewster made mistake after mistake with...

Taylor Kitch as Tim Riggins was a pretty solid running back on Friday Night Lights... maybe he's got some eligibility.

They'd need to make some first downs to accomplish that...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT OHIO STATE, LET'S SHOCK THE WORLD IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I was really hoping that, with all the pressure off due to everyone on the planet knowing that tOSU was going to curbstomp the Gophers, the braintrust of Harbaugh & Simon (and Fleck) were going to let AK8 just sling it out there. That lasted about 1 play when AK drilled the ball into the turf.

Yep, that's what the Gophers have left... Anyone (healthy enough to play)

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT OHIO STATE, LET'S SHOCK THE WORLD IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

At some point, PJ is gonna have to face up to the fact that either AK8 isn't a very good college QB... or his boy Greg Harbaugh is not a quarterback whisperer.

Souhan: Fleck has made this program all about him. His players have been asked to stand when he enters a room and are left to parrot his cliches

Do you really think that they care whether or not you agree with what Pat McAfee has to say? They care about eyeballs... whether you watch because you love Pat's schtick or tune in 'cause you think he's an asshole. What the network can't have is apathy. It's more or less the same for Souhan or...

Souhan: Fleck has made this program all about him. His players have been asked to stand when he enters a room and are left to parrot his cliches

If you read his work because you agree with his opinions... and are a big fan of his, great. If you read his stuff just so you can shit all over his stupid, lazy opinions... also great. The paper really doesn't give a hoot as to why you pay attention to Souhan's writing... just as long as you're...

Souhan: Fleck has made this program all about him. His players have been asked to stand when he enters a room and are left to parrot his cliches

Well, Souhan is a columnist... not a reporter. He (like Patrick Reusse) has more latitude to expose his opinion... and doesn't have to pretend to be unbiased. They're shit-talkers, and are only employed to garner readership. Love 'em or hate 'em, it doesn't really matter. All the paper cares...

Souhan: Fleck has made this program all about him. His players have been asked to stand when he enters a room and are left to parrot his cliches

There's no doubt that some players have left because they didn't buy into PJ Fleck's philosophy... but there have been many, many who've willingly drunk the Kool-Aid, so to speak. Antoine Winfield is still rowing the boat in the NFL, as his TD celebration yesterday shows. As Fleck has stated...

I'm not ready to write the kid off, yet... I am wondering if Greg Harbaugh is the right person to be working with him, though.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE BOUNCE BACK GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Would they be better than what's been on the field today for the Gophers...? No flex about it. Both of those players would be better than what they are trotting out there today.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PURDUE BOUNCE BACK GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

We can bash Rossi and the defense... it's easy to get frustrated with their play. Gotta remember, though, that the Gophers lost a tremendous amount of players that would have been relied upon for meaningful minutes to the transfer portal... Imagine Trill Carter, Gage Keys, Austin Booker, Braelen...
