    Taison Chatman

Highly rated for a mn guard, but not highly rated for an Ohio St player. They get mostly 4 star players, and occasionally five stars.

Shooter: Lindsey, Koi and Taylor could exceed $3 million for trio.

Good call on CB. Let's keep poaching Hawkeye's, they know how to play defense!

Shooter: Lindsey, Koi and Taylor could exceed $3 million for trio.

It's mostly about the injuries, and also that Ijeboi is a freshman with 3 years left. Also their rushing stats were very close, the receiving number are much in Taylor's favor. Taylor 554 yards 4.7 ypc, 4 Td's. 222 rec yards, 7.4 ypc, 0 td's. Ijeboi 441 yards, 4.5 ypc, 2 Td's. 54 rec...

Shooter: Lindsey, Koi and Taylor could exceed $3 million for trio.

I'd rather have RB Ijeboi, than Taylor. Not sure how NIL works, is it like a contract? Can we tell Taylor, who can't stay healthy, we are spending the money on someone else?

Gophers recruits Cedric Tomes and Nolen Anderson highlight Division I basketball signings

I wonder if Neko is in contact with Isaac Asuma's cousin at Cherry, Isaiah Asuma a JR PG, who's been starting for Cherry since 7th or 8th grade. He is a natural PG, who can score, and has a very high IQ. He was listed at 6-1 last year, but that may have been a gift.

Gophers recruits Cedric Tomes and Nolen Anderson highlight Division I basketball signings

That is exactly what I've heard about Tomes. He is 6-1 at best, so he will need to play the point most likely. Carr could also pass, when he wanted. Tomes and Freitag seemed like similar players in that they had a free-wheeling high school career, more scorer than set up man, and in...

    Former Players Updates

Payne, Mitchell, Cochran, and Henley are all producing, albeit only Payne is at the power 4 level. Mitchell was the 2nd best big by the end of last season. He would have been nice had he stayed, but I doubt we also get Vaiholoa, who is very similar, and wouldn't you know it, currently hurt...

Gophers recruits Cedric Tomes and Nolen Anderson highlight Division I basketball signings

Until the gophers have success, those top 100 players, aren't coming to the gophers. Knowing that fact, getting system guys is the next best thing. N. Anderson's game is much like Tyson's. He might be slightly less athletic. It's too bad, in many ways, Tyson doesn't have another year for...

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN TEASE PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Those were fouls the sta It was somewhat a tongue in cheek reference. Grove and Turner are not rotation guys on a good team. So, you are stealing minutes to give your starters a break and to not pick up additional fouls when you are tired. If they could play solid physical defense without...

Chip column: A night like this provides hope. It provides belief that maybe better days are around the corner.

It's the first game in a long time, where I felt we weren't outcoached! Playing the post guys straight up, and not giving open three's was a great plan. Also, having 5 guys who can potentially hit an outside shot made the court very spread out of offense.

Also great use of bench fouls, Turner 7 min- 4 fouls, Grove 8 min- 4 fouls!

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN TEASE PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

What a great win! I thought the lack of depth would cause the starters to hit a wall. Great game plan, not doubling and giving up threes. The offense was fun to watch. Reynolds can make big shots, like others have said comparing him to V Greer. Also, a decent match up for the gophers that...

***OFFICIAL INDIANA AT MINNESOTA BIG TEN TEASE PORTION OF THE SCHEDULE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I agree Hummel was definitely seeing all kinds of things the gophers were getting away with. Really strange since I normally have liked his commentary.

Starting PG Chansey Willis out for the year

Even on what could have been Tubby's best team, he had only 2 people who could or should play PG. I think that's bad planning. Just like only recruiting 2 people who can play the 5. It seems like SG, SF, and PF have much more flexibility in today's game, I would never shortchange PG and Center.

Starting PG Chansey Willis out for the year

Shinholster is leading the gophers in 3pt shooting at 37.5 %. 3 of 8 small sample size. He is very weak to go against people 20-30lbs heavier on defense and on the boards, but he could be ok on the offensive end. I am not sure the gophers get way more injuries than other teams, they just seem...

    What is Niko building?

I don't like players moving teams, just like most others. But for the most part the blue bloods that were at the top of the rankings are still there. There still are non-blue bloods like Purdue and Houston, mostly with inhouse players, there every year as well. Us gopher fans are probably...

    What is Niko building?

Well, we have no billionaire giving us money ala Oregon and Indiana, so we are screwed based on your logic. I think one can still compete with average money. CSU is not the big ten, but he built a successful program with much less money than we have.

    What is Niko building?

I had previously wrote that Niko hasn't had a big improvement in year one at any of his stops. I don't think he is a flashy recruiter, I think he is successful based on year over year improvements and eventual conference and tourney successes, and turning some "average wings" into NBA players...

Bobby Durkin is the new Brock Stull

I've been disappointed in Willis' scoring. He averaged 17.5 in the MAC as a 2nd team selection. While never a great 3pt shooter, he was a very good driver. His playmaking is good, we just need his scoring in addition.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MISSOURI IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Freitag was more athletic than any guard MN had on its roster last year, including Asuma. Nolan would have been a better offensive bench player than Fox ever was. Robinson may have been over-rated. By years end, Asuma was the 2nd best guard last year after Patterson. Asuma and Freitag can...
