    Yup. Purdue put up 27 on Illinois today and 30 on Notre Dame. They don't defend but are capable of beating us.

    If Rutgers can put up 28 on Iowa I think they can beat us, 27-24. So Hope I am wrong because of the gravity of the game.

    It looks like Brosmer is coming in for the Vikings!

    Though Bronko Nagurski was not a quarterback, he did throw 77 NFL passes, completing 32 for 474 yards and 7 touchdowns. At the time there was some grumbling that it somehow "wasn't fair" that someone who was not the quarterback would throw the occasional pass.

    I was happy to see Oregon State get thumped again by a non-powerhouse. The way Cal handled the Beavers made me think that Cal might be really good. I also felt better when Cal was not great in Game #2.

    Week One: Offensive Line

    I was impressed by our last possession. The line finally imposed its will on a tired and perhaps discouraged run defense. I would have hated to see a punt followed by a "consolation touchdown".
