It matters, of course. But it isn't the only thing that matters. That said, it's always fun as fans to second-guess play calling. "That was such a bad play-call! They should have run a different play!" After all, hindsight is 20-20.

Play-calling is separate from execution. You can call a perfect play, but if just one kid out of eleven screws up or gets beat, the play gets blown up. It isn't always about play-calling.
