    Apparently, the good old days were epitomized by an 8 win team in the very early 60s that went to a Rose Bowl. An 8-win team in 2025, however, is "lousy". You and I would know that — we wouldn't need Pat to tell us — if you and I had "standards", which Pat clearly has.

    If a writer has to stoop to dishonesty, he's weakening his own argument. No one has ever suggested that Fleck's 2025 team is equal to or better than a Gopher Rose Bowl team from the 60s.

    You're probably correct about a possible typo. Maxy is usually pretty accurate. Yes, 2003 Gopher football went 10-3 (10th win was over Oregon in bowl game). That team won their first six games.
