All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

The coaches for both Tulane and Ole Miss are moving on to new homes next year, but Jon Sumrall is sticking around at Tulane to "finish the job" and coach the team through the playoffs (and even made a $100K donation to Tulane's NIL fund to help with their recruiting), whereas Lane Kiffin bolted...

Who has the best walking/standing sports shoe?

Hoka's I think wouldn't be the way to go - they're great for jogging, not so much I'd think for standing or walking. For the latter, you want more of a support shoe vs a high-impact cushioning shoe. On the recommendation side, get yourself some insoles that are customized to fit your feet, but...

All Things MN United Season Thread

Not official yet, but it will be soon. After the next season, the Loons will join Chicago, St Louis, Kansas City, Cincinnati and Columbus in their MLS division. This is good news, as I didn't want us to get lumped in with West Coast teams. We'll play each of those teams twice each season, and...

I'm going with the Gophers crushing the Lobos. I really don't see this being a close game.

Gagliardi Trophy finalist Albert Rundell leads all divisions of college football with 1,551 receiving yards, and 129.3 receiving yards per game. He ranks second in NCAA Division III with 21 touchdown catches, while his 9.33 catches per game comes in at No. 3

And I'm guessing an unheated field. At those temps, there must be a huge difference playing on a heated field vs one that isn't.

Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Lots of teams are signing a bunch of high school recruits, but why? Option 1: Recruit a bunch of high school players and hope they stay. Per the rumor mill, we pay them $75K to sign. By far, most of them don't see the field in any meaningful way their first two years, and once they do become...

I like the new Tulane shirts - they play Ole' Miss in the first round. Note that Sumrall is sticking around to coach Tulane through the playoffs vs bolting for Florida.

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

They should just rename the CFP to become the "Bama-ESPN Invitational Tourney". No matter how bad Bama is, ESPN will make sure they'll always get a slot.

Group of 5 Teams in Contention for the 2024-25 FBS Playoffs

And Tulane it is. They won the AAC last night, beating an 11-1 North Texas team 34-21. Sumrall, their coach (who is now headed for Florida), is cut a bit different - his "Row the Boat" motto for the Tulane Green Wave team is RMFW - "Roll Mother Fuc***er Wave".

Totally agree. It's embarrassing for all those Wisconsin teams that they can't compete in the division they belong, so in order to try to win, they play in DIII. Can't imagine being a fan of one of those teams.

PJ Fleck press conference on signing day.

PJ spent a lot of the Press Conference basically telling Lindsey to stay, which is a good thing. I also found his comments about agents not wanting coaches to talk to parents really interesting - if you're a parent of a kid, would you want an agent who's going to block you from meeting with the...
