If Iowa wins out, how can anybody relieve BF of his job? I dont like the guy, but 10-2 keeps a job, I dont care what a contract stipulation says. They will find a way to keep him, and possibly have him take a quiet demotion to keep Kirk happy.
Still comes down to this - why wasnt that ball punted 20 years out of bounds. Iowa cant score on their own, so you gave them the 1 opportunity to by punting to them. On that alone - FIRE HIM !!
Fair analysis. "Half Empty vs. Half Full" arguement. Is anybody saying anything if AK is looking promising in the way he is playing? They would have said "young team trying to build each game". Right now the flaws are exposed because this team finds ways to lose or be non-competitive.
Combination of 2 things going there - QB who looks like he spent a secret coaching session with Jedd Fisch over the summer and didn't tell anyone and an Offense that wants him to be both a game manager (based on poor play) and a play maker (because of his skill set). We will always be a running...
I'm going to go back to when Ty Whittingham was fired at Notre
Dame. The line came out that from Sunday to Friday, they were the best coached team in America. Games are played on Saturdays (usually), but the message there was that he was not a good game day coach. PJ brings a lot to the table...
Part of me would like to see some separation from Tanner and the program. AK needs to grow on his own based on strong coaching from the staff we hired.
Does the band practice in there? As a school administrator DO NOT mess with marching band practice (although I heard a band director got tazed in Alabama the other day for not stopping when the cops told him to).
Agree with the initial comment completely. I do believe that AK has to be held to a higher standard than when ML was here though. Time to quit babying him and allow him to make plays and mistakes. It would be nice if we gave him something quick or a high percetage throw once in awhile.
