Random thought - Throughout history of ANY program, I wonder how many times that Nebraska being named a program defining win has taken place.... I'm guessing oh NONE.....
Not putting this thread out to bash anybody... Has anybody heard if AK has received any looks? Things didn't work out here but that happens..Shouldn't be ill will towards him.
Hmmm..... Not totally in agreement. Still had Morgan back after 2019 and he and the passing game regressed. The issue at that point was their receivers graduated and they went back to Tresselball. There is more to it than just getting a QB, but you also won't get another decent one unless you...
Not that. More the "We will attract a QB and then not trust his abilities, settling for Tresselball again". There come's a point where we will have very limited ability to recruit QBs because they arent trusted to handle the offense.
Excited by this but it only works if we lose some of the predictability and become a little more aggressive with our offense. PJ needs to hit it big on this or else he can count on never getting a playmaker at QB to ever want to come here.
Kind of a mobius loop because BSF didnt do anything to help his cause, but you only go looking for one if you are actually going to use the position. Needs to be some re-definition of what the offense is trying to do based upon the QB “Get”.
The problem is if you want a playmaker, he actually needs to be given the freedom to make plays. What is going to be the tradeoff to bring in a capable QB? I see this as being a HUGE problem for them. Even when TM was here, he was there to manage the offense. Rarely was he asked to make plays...
This thred is speaking about people - more coaches but at least giving notice about the need to upgrade who is behind center. I believe part of this has to go towards "Who are you going to find"? 4 and 5 star qbs aren't going to line up to run the style of play they have now. Is there an upgrade...
In reverse order - I believe I read where PJ was 8th in the B10 for Salary.
As an educator, it was always about setting the expectations with kids high but acheivable. Those expectations have to be something a student can't acheive without putting the hard work in.
We hear the word "Elite"...
I expected the QB from the Wisconsin game last year. There was some creativity in the offense at that point. What nobody expected was "on the job training" from the OC position and people (but especially at QB) who seem scared to make plays, or lack the ability to think for themselves to do it...
PJ can stay. Coyle needs to inform him that some coaches will not be retained. There is ZERO immagination with this team or coaching staff. Just hard to watch...
