Reusse: I’m not a Gophers football hater. I’m an old-timer with standards.

What a great article if he had replaced the word lousy with average

SEC Bias: This is a reminder that LSU these last 5 years is the same as Minnesota, just with a lot more AP votes and more FCS wins.

Big difference between saying they’ve had similar W/L results in a 5 year stretch and saying they’re similar programs too

You are kicking ass defeating an argument no one has made here Not one person has said Mn program is on the same level or better than LSUs You win! Congrats!

They’ve drank James franklins kool aid Strangely enough, James Franklin getting free wins vs 3 non conference + Maryland + Rutgers + Indiana as a baseline means that if Penn state went 3-2 vs; Michigan state Michigan 3 random west They were probably a top 20 team If they went 4-1 they could...

For sure. Variance over 5 seasons accounts for a lot of it. A team that’s 10-2 twice and 4-8 twice has the same record as a team that’s 7-5 4 times but will probably be ranked a lot during those 2 10-2 seasons Recruiting rankings and nfl talent are kind of a dumb was to rank teams in...

No they aren’t. Not all losses created equal either. Very SEC of you to prop up the wins while ignoring the losses. What is more impressive; Going 1-1 against two 7-5 teams Or beating a 10-2 team while losing to a 4-8 team? Or are both probably pretty average if they both finish 7-5?

Yup. Yet people still argue LSU is elite Shouldn’t them firing coaches tell you they haven’t been?

I just can’t believe it. Like, what’s the upside to waiting? I suppose if you do it the week after the national championship you get a day of media about it?

It’s pretty funny how circular the logic is. People see every SEC west team with a record similar to MN but say “but they played a tougher schedule” And it’s like…no, I just showed you they essentially played 5 teams that were Minnesota or worse level teams most years + 4 out of conference...

    248 Days to Go!

This is pretty wild. Not that I have things every weekend but you’d think the dates of things would be logistically important to the universities less than 8 months out. Which 7 days is campus going to be completely a cluster?

If you would’ve flipped Ohio State and Purdue into opposite divisions. The west would’ve blown the east away in both wins and conference titles If you put Ohio state and the bottom 6 in one division and 2-8 in the other. The Ohio state division would win more conference titles.

The old west was middle heavy. With the new teams if you went west and east it would be interesting. Would be 9-9 Would assume Purdue and northwestern move east. Oregon 8-1 USC 7-2 Iowa 6-3 Illinois 5-4 Minnesota 5-4 Washington 5-4 Nebraska 4-5 UCLA 3-6 Wisconsin 2-7 45-36 Indiana 9-0...

2025-26 College Football Coach Fired/Hired Thread

This is a wild one. Seems like a great get on paper. But he has bounced around after leaving LA (who wanted to fire him was the rumor). Hasn’t been one year anyways. Rumors he didn’t know his own plays this year for the raiders. If he is 80% of what he was 3 years ago this is the best...

All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

I said a couple of days ago it’s a toss up game but the more I analyze the more I think it’s a bad matchup for bama In the rain Bama can’t run. Indiana defends the run. Not sure bama will score 15 Leaning IU now after thinking bama a few days ago

    Typical fleck game

Yeah. Really need to make these 7-5s 8-4s Need to make the 8-4s 9-3s Need another 10-2 Gophers are like 1 games a year worse than people want over a stretch. For context: Claeys in two years was 8-4 and 5-7 (6.5) Kill was 6.25 wins per year but only 8 conference games….also skewed by...

    FIRE GREG HARBAUGH

I disagree that Lindsay regressed. He had his best game of the year in game 11. Played well in difficult weather in 12 and played well in the bowl. Not getting explosive passing plays not always on the QB, IMO I agree that AK got the yips, could be and OL. Could be coaching. Could be his...
